    A. Whos going? No B. Whos watching it on TV? No C. Who will win? Greece but would prefer Oz D. Who bet on the game? No E. Whos getting drunk? Maybe a couple of glasses of red to warm up for Sat F. Who doesn't give a rats? Not me
  2. AGE Thanks mate, will be driving a blue liberty with SAU stickers. Just waiting to hear back from Mav as to what time he can get out of work so will let you know either way whether we will make it or not. Jam No worries, thanks for the info.
  3. Just a thought, what are people doing for food? Do you mind if I tag along please? I only live 2 mins around the corner in Port Melbourne. Was sat with a rex STI 9 all the way from my work exit in Dandenong to Kings Way last night. Passed about 5 other rexes and a clone of my car. Bizzare Subaru journey.
  4. Apparently only 1 person lives in my street. Text underneath was amusing though.
  5. Good post They also probably put up with a lot of stick when they pull people over especially car loads of young people on a Friday night.
  6. Sorry to hear about getting screwed mate I didnt think you could transfer ownership while still on finance? I sold my car that at the point of advertising was on finance. I explained this to the guy, got a loan to pay the finance out, he got the all clear from Vic Roads and I sent him the clearance from the finance company. If this is the case, how did you end up owning the car or is it possible to purchase still on finance?
  7. SS8_Gohan - Think the text was supposed to have been traced to Sandy. Justin_O - G/f thought her photo looked like a student ID one when on the news earlier.
  8. I got pulled over for the first time ever in Brighton about 2 weeks ago by a divvy van. Was driving along New Street and he was waiting to pull out of one of the roads on the left. Pulled me over and breathilsed me about 500 metres up the road. He was pleasant enough but was driving an ML which had caught his eye. Checked my licence and explained about the breathliser before sending me on my way. He spoke to me like a human, and I did the same to him.
  9. I got 2 sms's, excellent idea
  10. I saw it and looked at it many times in the For Sale section. Even had a discussion with Snowy about the colour. Was one of the tidiest I have seen.
  11. Went to Cardiff on Saturday to see a mate and ended up watching this. Over 150,000 extra people in the city, it was immense. I dont like either team but it was the best FA Cup Final I have ever seen as there is nothing worse than a whitewash.
  12. LOL! That or the Evo are getting my vote. Just need to do some final sums on purchase price vs cost of ownership. If anyone knows the rough servicing costs on an Evo 6 and also who can do them (i.e Mitsubishi or whether it has to be an import specialist) that would be great. My mate owned a 6 back in 1999 when they first landed in the UK and running it was astronomical so I am hoping they have come down a bit.
  13. The standard of cars looks considerably higher than the November one! Oh well engine needs replacing soon anyway.
  14. Will try and get there to watch this. Flight gets in at 9am and havent been to this track yet.
  15. Running 10's is very quick even for a 34 GTR. What mods does it have and where did you get it? Nice pics Joel and love the editing of the cars by AGE
  16. Superb read again. Love the GOR pics, some amazing ones there.
  17. Did you sign anything prior to leaving it there like a disclaimer? If not, I cannot see how he has a leg to stand on. Sorry to hear too, had my car broken into once and it sucks.
  18. JetDat - funny you should mention that, I have just seen one of the black carbon jobbie ones pass me at some insane speed on the motorway! Husnu - thanks mate, appreciated, will let you know. Liberty suggestions - We already have an RX (one from November DECA) which is an awesome car so dont really want another. I want something that packs a lot of punch and can be chucked around without blowing up (in the short term). Would go the cossie again but no good for a daily driver on spares. I originally looked at an EVO 9 or STI MY06 but they would be novated and when I can get an EVO 6 or a MY00 STI for the 30-35K mark, I think I would prefer that. Also with the novated, last thing I want is to be paying out a fair amount of $$ each month out of my salary, only to not own the car at the end. The other issue is the $$ I have been allocated for a car which is about 10K a year. I dont want to be eating into what my normal take home salary is especially with just getting a mortgage. I have also looked at tacking a bit extra on to the mortgage but as we only just have enough for the deposit, it would mean paying mortgage insurance. Anyway, keep the suggestions and opinions coming.
  19. Insurance on a rex was around the $1700-$1900. GTR and GTT was around the $1100. Not sure on Evo though. 8OO5TED - thanks mate
  20. Thanks everyone for the replies Husnu - Midnight purple one looks very nice. Snowy - The 6 is my favourite for lines but as you say the TME is still commanding big $$. Ferni - The only car I think will fall under a novated is the STI (if I got a slightly newer one) as the others are imports and will also be older than 8 years at the end of the lease. Yours is on a novated lease though isnt it from memory and would be older than 8 years at the end? Mav - Not sure on petrol but I have budgeted for it in my annual costings so if I have to pay for it, I will be OK BOOSTED, Dezz, ctjet - thanks guys Track stuff is more what I would like to do although an all rounder would be good to enable a try at the other types. Two things put me off the rex and that is the amount of them on the road and the high insurance they command, probably because of the amount of younger guys driving them.
  21. Guys and Girls I have been offered a new job and managed to negotiate a car allowance into it as I sold mine to fund a house deposit. The company does have a novated lease scheme that I can participate in if I want to or I can get a personal loan. From memory and the novated car lease thread from November, none of these cars will be applicable as they will all be over 8 years old at the end of the term. SAU, I have found to be very neutral on car choice, hence the reason for asking here unlike other forums where users have blinkered vision. My budget is really 30-35K and all of the above models bar the GTR would be 99-00 vehicles with the GTR being around a 96. I also know this budget is not top $ for each of the vehicles. The reason for asking this now is I will need to start the new job about 2 weeks after I get back so have to get a move on with a car and would ideally like to know before I return. This car has to be a daily driver for largely freeway driving between Geelong and Melbourne. So opinions would be welcome on any or all as I need to get the ball rolling. Thanks in advance people *EDIT - OK so I stuffed the poll up! Car choices are GTR 33, GTT 34, EVO 6, STI
  22. Votes are in but am in the UK at the moment so won't make the meeting unfortunately.
  23. They do take a 50% deposit at the time of booking also so people are aware.
  24. HEY HEY HEY Miss Pretty! saff_cossie has two! I dont want to be saff_cosie! Cosie and Mav are not good, people will talk! LOL!
