  1. jamezilla you never cease to amaze me! I now have the task of cleaning up orange juice from the desk, keyboard and monitor. Thank you. Damn Mische is good Just had a look at the link, $20 for a sticker, bit out of my league
  2. Relatively boring ones but: racing back on my bike which I havent done since 02 buy a house or at least some form of appreciating property Both realistic and acheiveable which is how I try to keep them. Best one I have achieved so far is to come to Australia on holiday in 2001. I did and now live here. Without hijacking, how about also writing up NY resolution achievements to inspire us.
  3. Get the N/A, build your experience. In a few years get a turbo when you have that experience behind you. If possible, try and do some defensive or skill based days between so you can enjoy yourself and learn about your car also, safely.
  4. Lol  Nah they were to Australia mate not harassing a bird in the UK
  5. Used to send all mine with Genie Mobile, part of BT. They offered free SMS within the UK in 2000/2001 but I managed to send them to Oz without costing me a penny. Clocked up almost 15,000 in a year and didnt pay for any. So instead split the costs with my g/f who was living here and had to pay as she was with Telstra. For some reason they don't exist anymore as when I returned to the UK, I wanted to go back with them. Fun while it lasted
  6. Can't do the Feb one unfortunately and will be back in time (just) for the May one. Looking forward to some more auto subaru action! Had the 200,000km service done today and was expecting a couple of nasties from DECA but nothing. Pricing roughly: 1 tank of fuel inc the day itself ($50) 2 days accomodation max of $80 per night Friday night dinner inc a couple of drinks- $30 Saturday night Dinner + fish bowl $60 Drinks saturday night around $100 Breakfasts for me were usually Mars Bars and Iced Coffee so $10 Great company and being able to terrorise a country town in a good way - Priceless! Prices are rough guides only and may or may not be indicative of actual spending especially after 9pm on Saturday night. Seriously though, great fun and worth the few extra $$ on top of a normal weekend for the company and the experience.

    Go Summer!

Watched the purple one chasing a bike on Beach Road a while back and then a very angry policeman pulling a bike that was behind me over further up the road as the first one had got away. Dont think they were even together. Then saw the silver one about 2 weeks ago having pulled a truck over in the morning rush near the Caltex on Beach Road.
  8. Transport Company I work for could possibly do it but that price of $135 sounds very good. They would also only transport it from Dandenong to Wetherill Park as they dont normally touch anything other than chilled goods.
  9. Thanks mate. Looking to use up lots of frequent flyers next year so Perth is on the cards. Gold Coast in Feb and UK in May so most likely later in the year around Sept time I would have thought. Thanks for the offer and all the best to all 3 of you B)
  10. Best of luck over there mate. We are looking at Perth next year for a long weekend so will look you guys up. Big shock you are going mate but keep in touch and will definately see you over the next year at some point.

At least it isnt capped at 25kb like my other main forum hence why mine looks like that! There forum is huge though.
  12. Happy Birthday mate. Sure you will have a good one as nothing stops you
  13. Damn someone has heard that before! Beat me to it!
  14. Thought I would have a skim through the posts as I am not really with it today after a late one here last night. Ni - I checked the first post daily as you said that was the one being updated. You should have sent me a reminder email or put it in that post. I had completely forgotten and it was only for Mav sending me a message checking up that I knew, that prompted me. And dont ask why checking the first post and transferring money didnt get put together
  15. Poor budge ...<gives budge 10c to call someone who cares> lol! Thanks Snowy for the award. Sorry wasnt there in person people to accept. Server upgrade was a success so not all bad news. Reason for the win was a bit embarrasing back then but all good now.
  16. Mine will eventually be sold on Friday and it has taken many many months. I have lowered it 10K from original asking. Unfortunately there is the age old issue of if the price is too high no one can afford it and if it is too low, something must be wrong. I lowered mine 1K further and have had 6 phone calls in the past 2 weeks for it. Most people wanting to buy it for a spouse for Christmas. Prior to that it was morons with 1 line emails "take 20K?" when it is up for 34K or nearest reasonable offer. If you dont try you dont get but some of the offers took the pi55. Dont give in but drop it just below what you wanted as your lowest price, say a 1K lower. Hang in there and it will sell mate.
  17. Sorry guys, will have to miss this one First one since Feb (other than when I was overseas in May) but I need to get an urgent upgrade on the mail server before the thing falls over and brings each of the sites with it. Tonight sadly is the only night I can get support this side of Christmas
  18. Guys and Girls Was thinking about this over the weekend and thought it would be a good opportunity for people to show their appreciation for particular SAU members or the club in general. Also somewhere for memorable events that can be whored until the year end! For me: Went from a forum user to an active member which can be a tough transistion as most know. Snowman - massive thanks for going the extra mile, prior to your presidency also. Also for the lifts this year and being a good all round guy. From here it gets difficult for fear of leaving people out The entire committee has amazed me that a group of such young people can work together so well to achieve events such as DECA and the track days so Chris, Bec, James, Al, Leewah and Ash. And to everyone that has made all of our events run trouble free and smoothly (at least on the surface to us), well done and thanks. To everyone else, Mav, The Bris, Scott and plenty of others. Thanks for being top mates, its not easy emigrating with no family or friends so huge thanks to all who I have met this year at SAU. Best event would have to be DECA but closely followed by the Winton rounds. Absolutely awesome stuff All the best for 2006 SAU B) B)
  19. Happy Birthday Ashley and 2nd ChrisNichollis, lock this, it must be a repost.
  20. Ha! Was going to ask for an easy way into finance as I am in IT! Sounds like a trade could be on the cards. I am an IT Manager for one of the larger haulage firms and on a good package. Lot of responsibility and on call permanently but they are flexible if I need time off. I also run my own IT/Consulting business on the side. Dont own a skyline but do have a 34K Lexus. Budgeting is definately the key. I live with my girlfriend but we dont go out much and eat in every night. I am extremely impressed with the discipline shown by the forum users on here for saving and buying property for what is typically a young group of people. Well done people
  21. Production is back on is the news from our BP Account Manager today but no word on when it will be back to normal at stations.
  22. I think he did Snowy as that was why he couldnt make the BBQ
  23. Sounds like you had an excellent time mate Wasnt my cup of tea when we went in May for 3 days but I do seem to be in the minority.
  24. Good post 32brother and agree with your point on the Western Ring Road cameras as I very much doubt each person caught for doing something they weren't has recieved compensation other than the fine revoked. I cant see how you can accidently do 35kph in this country when every motorist is aware of how little leanincy (sp?) there is with speeding. You accidently do 5kph's over at a push. My girlfriends brother has finished his 3rd ban and has done the time. He drove like a moron but took it on the chin and says he has learnt this time. Time will tell. None of his were that high but he has had a total of 10 months ban (1 x 1 month, 1 x 3 month and 1 x 6 months). Agree with Al though on this one mate. Assume the help you are looking for is in the form of a solictor then? <_<
  25. I havent been seriously stuffed but I bought my car from the main dealer for that vehicle and was sold with a 2 year or 160K warranty. When something did go in the form of both my remote key fobs, something I assumed would be covered under a "full" warranty, it wasnt. I was billed $50 for each key for the privelige as apparently they had become scrambled at a petrol station (which could happen at anytime). They did knock it down to $50 for both after I made a fuss. Problem in my case was sales guys chasing a sale, service trying to survive. I also asked for a booklet when I had this problem as to what was and wasnt covered which the service guy gave me immediately. This never eventuated from the sales guy who was in the office next door. This was for a vehicle that I would deem a luxury marque which made me more annoyed. Not sure if you have the equivilant of the citizens advice bureau here but that was who I have sought advice from in the UK.
