  2. Can you PM me details mate toby19 but I have a feeling you are talking trade the other way?
  3. Thanks mate, yours was the TT up for sale I think wasnt it. Awesome looking and performing vehicle I bet.
  4. My 4 door liberty was $195 mate.
  5. Appologies, didnt read the post properly  free *bump*
  6. I went through this last year with mine mate. I dont think you are actually allowed to the docks unless the procedure is different for RORO (mine was in a container). I had to have a clearance company take it to quarantine before I was allowed near it. I did stipulate that I was to open the container though. I had it trailored to a compliance shop and then sorted a temp reg for it so I could drive it between places of compliance. Probably not much help! I also have the number of a guy who flat bedded mine. He was $70 anywhere in Melbourne.
  7. Trying to send you a PM mate but your inbox is full and you have no contactable email address in your profile.
  8. Chris, the chances are if your street is that short he is confusing the engine revs possibly with speed. You should go and explain to him about that and Pentae - good advice, spot on. I have tried to get this accross to my g/f's bro about turning music down when he comes into the street. It takes very little time and sometimes just one incident for a perception to be created mate. Maybe go appologise and say you were having a bad day. You may even teach him a thing or too about Skylines and open his eyes to the enthusiasts.
  9. I have had a couple of offers for straight swaps on this. I appreciate the offers guys but I should have made it clearer in my first post. The money release is to put into a house and the compromise with the g/f is a skyline plus cash to do this.
  10. As Paradizzle says, what are the K's please. Do you have an upgrade in mind? I have a car in the for sale section and am looking for an R33 GTST http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=67980
  11. btt anyone have an offer, sale price or trade in?
  12. agree with foznice Had this with my cossie. Regs are not as strict for personal imports which makes no sense to me. I belive the main one that is different is emissions. Can't remember exactly what but had mine come in under a personal import, I am pretty sure the emissions would have been OK or near OK as opposed to having to wire in a completely new ECU.
  13. I had Expert Installs come out and do mine. They charged about $60 to rig the head unit up as I didnt know the wiring in an old mazda. Usually come out within a day of booking and came out once to home and once to work for me.
  14. Didnt do much mate but more than happy to help any member. Just glad the car has come out for the better and you are happy. That repairer has done a fantastic job. Looks awesome. You must be pleased to have it back on the road and looking good mate.
  15. Awesome views there mate. Whats the name of the Vineyard if you dont mind me asking? PM me if you want to save the masses turning up for free booze and food!
  16. Does anyone off here have the SAUVIC plate?
  17. lol! Snowy we await your response!
  18. Definately an acceptable substiute. Is that an over keen WRX driver taking the picture!? Not sure about the green though, should be red IMO.
  19. Congratulations mate, good luck with the future
  20. The problem you are up against with a lower tint is the legality and finding someone to do it. Not sure how dark 5% would be but I know my 20% rear screen does little else for my eyes than make objects appear sharper (although that could be because it has been washed!) With my 35% on the sides, the only time you can see in, is when there is light straight through at eye height on the other side and even then it is a silohette (sp?) Perhaps pop down the local Ambulance station and ask for a look from the inside although they may not know the definate tint?
  21. The % that is referred to is the amount of light let in i.e 35% So if the % is less, the tint is darker as it lets less light in. I have 20% on my back window. I believe the darkest legal tint refers is so that visability out of the car is still good rather than looking into the car. With my tint, it is quite black from the outside, looking in but looking out when driving, there is barely a difference IMO. When I got to the tint place, the guy already had a package he suggested which was the 35% windows and 20% rear which I think is being offered to all people. The 20% rear normally costs a bit more but they are doing it inclusive from what he said to me. HTH and if anyone disagrees, please correct me
  22. More container ships available, I would say yes although if your sole purpose of using a container is to get it here quicker, I wouldnt bother unless someone in shipping can confirm time differences for the two. If it is for security then I would use a container
  23. Having spoken to a few people in insurance here and the company I do some work for who insure a couple of hundred trucks, insurance companies treat you as guilty until proven innocent. Dont risk it
  24. Awesome you have your car recovered and in such a comparitable good state compared to most that are recovered. No idea how to pop the bonnet but Al on here might know, he knows his stuff
