The sound seems to come from behind the engine block near the centre console. Press the clutch and you can hear it spinning down slowly...pop it up and it whirrs back up again. It's annoying.

Heyyyy my S14 does the same thing too. Apparently it got noisier after I replaced the clutch to a daikin exedy. My mechanic says that the clutch comes with the thrust bearing. So is it the thrust bearing of the gearbox bearing. It's annoying!

Hi guys, this guy might be browsing through the forums (MCCR and SAU) too. And whoever it is knows what you're up to, or what you're on to. So I really think you all should pm each other instead if there's something concrete to discuss. Remember...if you stick your car up on the web, don't put down where you stay or around which area or what's your car license plates (I think most of you know that by now). I'll keep a lookout too But who knows, this person might change car or plates already because he knows we're onto him.

Seriously guys, please drive carefully. Don't do stupid stunts and end up paying money (or totalling your lovely skyline) because you hugged a tree/kerb/traffic light. Or even worse injured or killed. If you want to drag, go to a drag strip, wanna drift, go to a skid pan. Cops start scrutinising everyone because of a handfull of people that want to show off on public roads. It spoils the day for the rest of us. Drive wisely, and boost safely

Got the same problem! I just drive it gently till the needle goes to the warmed up position. I have a feeling it's the fuel mixtures at start up? But try the AFM method too.

Pop down to an electrical/electronics store like Dick Smith's or Tandys and get thyself a can of Electrical Contact Cleaner. Remember not to spray too near the filament, but let it 'mist out'.

Hi moderators, can we put a sticky on threads about idling? There are a couple of them all over the place It seems to be a very common problem with 32s and 33s.

got the same problems. Changed AFM, changed fuel pump, changed plugs, changed oil filters. ANyone here has any other ideas? We should make this a sticky, it's quite a common problems. Skylines and idling problems go hand in hand.
