  1. It cost me $70 all up for both the plenum and the rockercovers, that was including the sandblasting and the rest of the prep work. You won't be able to sandblast the plastic centre part. I purchased a $5 can of acrylic spray paint and it turned out perfect. I also cut out the 24v raised section in the centre and filled it over with fibre glass. check out the pics on the previous page or follow the link in my sig. leigh.
  2. The place that powdercoated my greddy plenum masked everything with out me giving them any specific instructions, i just gave it to them and it came back perfect. All the injector holes, the facing where the throttle body bolts up, the block facing, and all the other small bits on the underside were all masked. I still can't get over how cheap it was to get done too. leigh.

  4. Not too much longer i hope, it has taken me 2 years to get to this stage. Just need to find the time to get the engine back in. Both me and my old man have a couple of weeks off over christmas so hopefully i'll get 99% of it done then. No idea why steve returned his car back to stock, you'll have to ask him he's still on these forums.
  5. The Turbo kit i got i purchased off a fellow forum member, "Steve". It's a HKS 3037 + HKS wastegate but locally made manifold and dump pipe. Think i paid about $4000 for it all including intercooler piping and oil lines. It was his original forum thread that convinced me that i needed the 3037 and when it came time for me to actually purchase one he was returning his car to stock, so i purchased his complete setup.
  6. I have yet to use the clutch above, built by Jim berry. I am still working on getting my freshly built engine back into the skyline. However I am looking for 320rwkw +. I orginally had a NPC heavy duty clutch, which according the Jim actually started out as a VL commo clutch. He modified the preasure plate to more than tripple it's clamping pressure, and built me a new clutch plate using a new excedy 5 puck sprung clutch centre from a nissan patrol modified with his own carbotic buttons. This cost me $850. Ring him, listen to what he has to say about clutches for 3 hours and in the end he'll tell you exactly what you want.
  7. Yeah Jim Berry is the clutch GOD.. he made my 1200pound clutch into a 4300pound clutch within minutes of me walking into his shop.
  8. OK here are a couple of pics of how my powder coated cam covers and plenum turned out.
  9. Ok time again for an updated picture. I have recently had the cam covers and inlet manifold powdercoated, turned out pretty good i think. The black cover in the middle has still only got a cover of primer on it so it'll look a little better in a few days. I have actually cut out the raised nissan emblem that was in the middle of this and filled it over with fiberglass.
  10. I just had my Greddy plenum and Rocker covers powder coated. Cost me a whole $70 and that was including the sandblasting etc. For the cost i can't complain. I will post up some pics when i get a chance. Went with black for the plenum, but with a ripple finish. The cam covers i got done in a gold colour.
  11. This item is now SOLD !
  12. Got the throttle body in the for sale section of these forums.
  13. I sent the plenum and rocker covers to be powder coated today. Have gone with gold for the rocker covers and textured black for them plenum. Pictures will be posted when i get them back. Hopefully they look ok.
  14. Still undecided with the tuning side of things. It will either be FIST performance or Mercury Motorsport. FIST have done all the work on my old mans XR6 turbo and they've looked after him very well but Mercury seem to have a better reputation around here.
  15. No issues with it as far as i am aware, never had any problems. can get some photos tomorrow.

  18. Dude, just go see Jim berry @ RaceClutch, he'll make whatever you want.
  19. F.I.S.T or Mercury Motorsport
  20. Arrghh - I just got my head back a few weeks ago from the head shop. I would have been in for sure.
  21. Have you already arranged a new front bar. I have a r400 style front bar and support from my r33 and am looking at going back to standard. Maybe we can work something out.
