    I went with a set of ARGO's for my current build.

    I work at a BP servo in QLD we set our prices for the regular unleaded (92) and add 4 cents for premium (95) then another 4 cents for Ultimate (98).

    Well i'm glad the pistons are not at fault as my build using venoila is just about complete. This thread was starting to worry me with all the negative talk about their pistons. leigh.

    So pro engines what clearance would you / have you run the venolia RB pistons.

    Im not sure. Take a look at The Venolia Catalogue why would they use imperial mesurements all the way through then go metric when detailing the Piston clearances. as far as i can figure 0.010mm is not 4 thousandths of an inch 1 thou...0.001" 1" (25.4mm) / 1000 = 0.0254mm so 4 thou....0.004" 0.0254mm * 4 = 0.1016mm and 10 thou...0.010" 0.0254mm * 10 = 0.254mm is this right or am i confused????

    I just had a look at the Venolia web site and in their 2005 catalogue it recomends clearances of between .006 & .010. I think that the .0025 clearance that you ended up going with was a big part of your problem.

    I also belive that Innovative Turbo's are pretty decent.

    Can't get any more photos the pistons are at the engine builders already, that is the only photo i took before i dropped them off.

    Here is a photo of the Venolia piston from my current RB25 Build, hope they cause me no problems.
