  1. this will be the only site you will need
  2. proengines, i vote for pictures from beginning to end then stickying this thread.
  3. I cant see the wiki idea working too well if everybody has the access to edit the information. Some people have mentioned implementing some sort of points/ranking system for useful forum posts. This could work with the wiki idea where people would vote for the useful posts and it would flagged for a set group of people to compile into the wiki.
  4. A few people have mentioned that it’s hard finding useful information amongst the many off topic posts and wanting to setup a library/repository type section with only factual content. A suggestion I had a while ago that no one seemed too interested in at the time was to setup a wiki style page for information, an ever growing encyclopedia of all things skyline and keep the forums for discussion. As a start we could all (skylines Australia) take over the Skyline wiki over @ wikipedia.com
  5. Im keen to find a place to do this too.
  6. http://www.smb.net.au/converters.htm
  7. Just chrome for me, let us know when you want the money.
  8. What'd you get done and at what cost?
  9. I'm keen to find a place for this as well
  10. Got her on the stand and stripped down today. Bores look perfect! I am away on holidays next week for a few weeks then it's time to get some machine work done. Will probably get the head sorted first, just a mild port new and some stiffer springs. Not too sure if i will do the valves too.
  11. Starting to get somewhere now. After 2 years of buying bits and pieces work has actually started on the car. Just finished lifting the engine out now. Was going the spend the day stripping it down but had no bolts long enough to attach it to the engine stand.
  12. I'll take one + Postage to brisbane, let me know when you need the money transfered.
  13. Well i was actually going to replace the standard pump with a 040 to feed the surge tank and then the 044 from the surge tank. If you think the standard pump will do then the 040 should be more than enough.
  14. I ended up getting the argo ones. Arived today, look awesome!
  15. I am aiming for around the 350rwkw mark with my rb25 build. I am going to be installing a surge tank and have a bosch 044 pump to draw from that. If i use an 040 pump to feed the surge tank do you think this will be enough. My thinking is that with the smaller pump not having to push against the requlator it should do. your thoughts?
  16. What springs did you use, I'm in the process of pretty much this exact setup but with the externaly gated 3037 56t. I'm sticking with just the 256 tomei in/ext cams though.
  17. I second Mercury. Decent dyno setup and know the FC's
  18. Just finished talking with ARGO, $1980 for RB25/26 rods with arp bolts. 5% trade disc for single purchase =$1881 + 10%gst +$25 postage = $2096.60
  19. Hey Doughboy do you know where i can get a set of argo rods from and at what cost. price i have for par is $1650 + 10%gst and postage (approx $1850) REV $1510 + 10%Gst and postage (approx $1700) I am tempted with the par ones but have not had any feedback about the REV rods. Any one know how good they are compared to the others?
  20. After a quick call the the customs hotline (1300 363 263) i have been told that i would be up for 10% duty on the purchase price of car parts, then 10% GST on Parts, duty, and postage. so even at a purchase price of $1060US + $100US postage (guess) I am looking at $1470AU. Plus 10% duty on purchase price $135AU Plus 10% GST on both $160AU Total cost would be $1765AU still cheaper than any thing i can buy new here.
  21. I too am interested in finding out more about this free trade agreement between here and the states. Can't seem to make sense of the Customs web site. Anyone know more about it, what good are duty free and not. leigh.
  22. At $1300 even with postage and gst + Duty they still should work out cheaper then getting them locally, right? leigh.
  23. Has any one purchased parts direct from crower in the US. Was about to order some Rods for my RB25 locally @ $2100 when i saw i could get them direct from Crower for only $1060US ($1300 au). The wont give a price for postage until after the order is placed so any idea's how much it would be and how long they take to ship stuff out. leigh.
  24. OK i've held off a little but and gone the whole hog. Going to it properly and all at once, internals and all. Have perchased venolia 20 thou over pistons and am now about to purchase a set of rods. i have priced up the following. Crower $2100 Argo $2300 Par $1800 I personally am leaning towards the par one's as the price is good. Any one used these or have an opinion on them.?
  25. i know with the r33 the ball / socket part on the end of the shifter is the same size with both series 1 + 2 but the actual plastic bit is that clips on the end is a different size. Not too sure about 34 though.
