  1. you'll get it off of nissan for a few dollars.
  2. Hardcore Racing have a 33 gtst making just under 700rwhp and still a 2.5 ltr.
  3. Imagine meggala's site on steroids. An ever expanding skyline manual. Working on the wikipedia site would be a good way to trial how it would work.
  4. Just been looking around wikipedia.com and thought that the whole Wiki idea would be great to use as a skyline information source. I know this forum is probably the best place on the net for skyline information, but being forum based you always have to sort through a lot of rubbish and opinions to get to the facts. For those who dont know a wiki is pretty much a web document that anyone can edit / contribute to. check out wikipedia.com and you will understand. for now we (skylines australia) could see what we can improve on the skyline information at wikipedia. Later, prank, how hard do you think it would be to incorperate something like this into this site. The software to run it is all php based and freely available. just an idea.
  5. Whats your reasons for selling these items. How new are the rods.
  6. nope, my turbo kit's still sitting next to me on the floor here.
  7. Ok i've decided to be a little more patient and wait till i got the cash and do internals properly at the same time. Looking at forged rods (crower), Pistons (venolia) looking for people opinions on this. Also What rings, bearings, headgaskets (brands, thinknesses) are people using. Crank i am just looking at balancing and probably nitrating. Plan is to buy parts then get someone to bolt the engine together for me.
  8. It definatly will see some track work but will probably be more 1/4 mile initially. Oil cooler is going to be added once i get the thing up and running. On the subject of rods, anyone used the forged revs ones that hioctane are selling for around the $1500 mark.
  9. Internals are definatly going to be soon but im just getting impatient. Ive got this stuff now and just want to throw it on until i have the extra money to fill the insides.
  10. mobil 1 comes in 0w-40, 10w-30, 5w50 and 15w-50 thats 4 different grades
  11. Fatz, I gotta draw the line somewhere. I think i'll be more than happy with the 2.5.
  12. Ben, the 3037 has the .87 exaust housing. Its steve's old turbo setup, check out his thread. Mike, steve was getting 321rwkw with stock internals, so i should be alright running low boost for a few months.
  13. I'd be interested in a group buy, anyone keen to look into it?
  14. OK After slowly collecting parts for the past couple of years i am now about to start the buildup of my 33 gtst. The way it is at the moment is pretty much completely stock except for a carbon bonnet and 3" Dump and exhaust with apexi n1 muffler. I plan to do this in 2 steps, first get all the bolt-on items done and tuned for low boost then second step simply internals ( forgies, rods, balance ) and add more boost. I have so far colleced the following for my stage 1. Greddy Plenum Q45 throttle body Q45 AFM HKS 3037s Manifold HKS wastegate (steve's old 320kw setup) Hybrid 600*300*76 intercooler Apexi PowerFC Apexi AVCR HKS adjustable cam gears bosch 040 + 044 fuel pumps SX adjustable fuel reg Fuel surge tank Tomei timing belt Nissan Inlet and Exhaust gaskets. tomei 256 poncams nismo 740cc injectors What else am i missing, or what suggestions have any of you guys got before i start this. ***now also have Argo rods, Tomei 256 poncams and springs, ARP head stud kit. Just Jap Oil cooler Kit.***
  15. Does anyone know if there are english instructions around for installing one of these on a 33. About to do mine in the next few weeks.
  16. I have my stock skyline (r33 gts-t) mags lying around that i was going to use for when at the drags. I have thought about the possibility of having the mags machined as to change their appearance a little. I have spoken to a company who repair / machine damaged mags and they say they could possibly do it depending on what i had in mind. What are your thoughts and opinions on this.
  17. Yeah its sold. I've got steve's old 3037 setup spread out over my kitchen table at the moment.
  18. http://www.mercurymotorsport.com.au quoted me $250 each for DBA 4000 series rotors for my r33 not too long ago. Thought that was pretty cheap.

    painting rims

I've still got my original skyline mags lying around that i'd like to paint to for use when at the drags. I've also wondered if it was possible to have them machined at all to make them look a little different to the stock ones. Looking at that http://www.depuluwheels.com/ website, they mention they can machine the face of the mags when repairing them. Anyone had this done to to change the appearance of their mags? Any other opinions on this?
  20. That hardcore car (phil's) has been completely rebuilt since that hpi shoot.
  21. any more ideas??
  22. From the HKS usa web site "The GT Wastegate also features the ability to adjust its base boost level by changing the tension on the wastegate spring" the wastegate that comes with the setup kit is not one of these GT ones but seems to have the same variable base boost settings. They have the info on the japanese site but i am no good at reading japanese. Can anyone else give me more info on these. leigh
  23. I am about to order a HKS 3037s turbo to hang off the side of my 33. Have been looking at the HKS setup kit to go with it. The only thing confusing me is the wasegate comming with the kit, being 0.8-1.1, 1.1-1.4, 1.4-1.7 or 1.7-2.0bar. I always thought they came with a set pressure rating, are these ones adjustable in some way or am i missing something. leigh.
  24. Hey im thinking about purchasing a Hks turbo of of the nengun site anyone have a rough idea what extra australian customs/duty i would have to pay on top of something like that.
  25. So steve you think the Venolia pistons that UAS are selling to suit N1 rings would be pretty good.
