6 x High impedance 550cc injectors. Top feed to fit RB20DET and RB25DET (R34 model). Cleaned and flow matched, testing and cleaning is worth $180, I am selling this set for only $480! (Can also be used on GTR with removal of factory resistor pack).

SOLD -- was a real good deal -
850cc SIDE FEED injectors -- R33 RB25DET

Spray pattern is not a big issue, four holes designed more for emissions, mono pintle is a bit better for fuel velocity at high rpm. There is another part for the RB20 injector not shown in the picture, it goes around the pintle cap (injector head) and provides the seal for manifold pressure, it is wider and longer than the o-ring on the NEO injector and works on the NEO as well. The distance between top and bottom o-rings are essentially the same, a thicker spacer is used at the top end and the larger o-ring is used, voila direct fit -
850cc SIDE FEED injectors -- R33 RB25DET

Thanks yeah a lot cheaper than new and tested too. Your friend should have used an R33 RB25DET rail. My injectors are 480cc and 850cc, the 480cc can be used to upgrade both RB20DET and R34 NEO RB25DET -- I am sure, plus I know people running those injectors right now, simple to install, not speculation but fact, it's been done before. If you look at the important parts on the injector they are correct, same connector plug and same distance from top o-ring to tip, the tip only looks different because the 480cc use a different o-ring/grommet to seal the manifold pressure but fundamentally they are the same fitment and at a fraction of the price. The 850cc side feed are for R33 RB25DET and are direct fitment. I believe that the R33 RB25DET rail could be used on the R34 RB25DET to allow side feed injectors to be used. I have a friend with an RB25DET head, I will look at the injector ports to see if there is enough room, I would be surprised if they redesigned the head when they already have an o-ring on the tip of the injector. The RB20DET injectors are only 260cc top feed high impedance, an RB20DET injector can fit the NEO, they just need the rubber grommet to keep a tight seal for manifold pressure but they are less flow anyway so no point. The R34 NEO RB25DET injectors are about 380cc, top feed high impedance. R33 RB25DET injectors are 370cc side feed high impedance. The RB26DETT injectors are 444cc top feed low impedance, need wiring mods, besides GTR injectors are too expensive as it is. -
850cc SIDE FEED injectors -- R33 RB25DET
RB38DETT replied to RB38DETT's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
On the side feed rail the injector heads are up further, the exit port on the rail comes out further than the injector heads, from memory there is a step that can fit an insulator to hold manifold pressure, I think this would be the way to go instead of mucking around with wiring, worst case scenario would be having to reem out the port on the plenum, all going well only an insulator would need be used. This is probably still a very viable option and cheaper than wiring in low impedance injectors (NEO needs high impedance), the combination of HIGH (note: edited) impedance and top feed is very rare purely because it yields an injector of poor response time (bad idle, poor tunability and less usable duty). -

Those are HKS 480cc by the way, $300 a piece landed in Australia (x6) -

Calvin, when I was talking about changing the fuel rail, I was meaning to fit the side feed 850cc onto a NEO, the R33 RB25DET has a side feed rail, are you saying you tried to fit a side feed rail onto an R34 NEO? -

480cc on NEO works fine, done before. 850cc on R33 RB25DET works fine, done before. As for 850cc on the NEO, I have NOT done a rail swap between the two types of RB25DET so I cannot guarantee that one. -

The side injectors do not fit the NEO rail, they do however fit the R33 RB25DET rail. I am talking about using the side feed rail that comes on the R33 RB25DET onto a NEO RB25DET, I know the R33 GTR rail won't fit. Are you saying that you tried an R33 rail onto a NEO? (from an RB25DET -- not GTR) -

By the way, because the NEO is high impedance and top feed your options are somewhat limited, direct fit that is. The biggest top feed high impedance injectors are 550cc. You would best either get a side feed rail from an R33 and use these injectors or try to get some top feed BUT if you get top feed they will be low impedance for sure and there will be wiring mods to be made. I would get an R33 RB25 rail if I were you, they're easy to find and there is always the non-turbo RB25 rail too. -

No, even though the NEO is RB25DET they are top feed, I have some 480cc in this section though -
SARD 850cc side feed injectors (SARD #63507), direct fit to R33 RB25DET, including collars and brand new connectors and o-rings. They have all been cleaned and flow tested in an R33 RB25DET rail and are high impedance, $900 for the set. This set has not been used since the cleaning and flow testing, the cleaning and flow testing is worth over $300. These injectors retail for over $1700 for six and are rare to find at this very low price.

I am 98% sure that that is the injector I think it is, however I would prefer a part number in order to be 100% sure. Assuming it is the injector I believe it is, then the following holds: It will first need modifying by an engineer, both the lower filter assembly and the small flange on the aluminium pintle cap. I had a set of SARD type 550cc injectors only a few weeks ago, so I know exactly what to do. The flange has to be modfied precisely because it has to hold the lower o-ring in place, care must be taken not to damage the lower filter assembly too because there is no replacement part available. When that has been done, the fitment kit gets added, then you can install them (ideally they should have a flow test first though). They will be high impedance but different connector (included in the kit I have). I will email you, I can make them direct fit with the kit installed.

Those injectors require more than collars I believe, they need to be modified so they can fit in the rail from what I remember, those mods are best done by an engineer. You can use the fitment kit on them though. RX7 injector prices vary, it's simply a case of checking around because prices vary considerably, try out of the way places.
