Was the engine washed before it was sold to you? You could reset the comp. If its a fuel prob when you first start the car does it prime itself (buzz sound from the boot last for about 5-6 seconds). Is the battery ok? Did the car get driven frequently before it was sold to you? Sorry for the q's just trying to help a fellow GTR man cheers

on my car it makes that puurrrrk sound, if you've heard a wrc rally car or a turbo rotary with a bov it makes that similar sound. located in Canberra. looking for $350 hope that helps.

Mines, trust and possibly others make a direct replacement for the gtr boost gauge. Its a matter removing the entire cluster. You'll need to disconnect all wiring and hoses that are connected to the cluster, take the backing and then the stock boost gauge out. Put the aftermarket one in and reconnect the hoses and wiring. If its not a direct replacement I'd go with other guys suggestion and put in the pillar. Also the direct replacements are expensive and a second hand one is hard to find, took me ages to find one. hope that helps cheers

Quit sure its not the turbo's or BOV. The noise isn't present in 1st or 2nd. When the cars is coasting in 5th doing 2000rpm there is whining. I reckon its to do with the gearbox/clutch.

Thats the first thing I checked!!! but no GF in the car... The whining noise is consistant over 60kph in 3rd, 4th or 5th. Might have to take it to a transmission place to see what they have to say.

I've got a R32 GTR and it makes a whining noise under acceleration above 60kph or so, when I release the loud peddle the noise goes away. The boost is okay and the car goes just fine besides this stupid whining noise (note: girl friend not in car ) Thought it might be thrust bearing but when its idling its not noisy (rattles a bit coz I got a twin plate clutch). any1 got any ideas about this one. cheers

You've got a nice box there turbomad...hmm that didn't sound quite right. Anyway for a GTR there's alot less room to work with and it depends on the Filter kit you have as well. I'll be building one up soon for my Trust pods..I'll keep you posted.
