  1. Bank 2 is the driver's side from what I have read. Thanks
  2. Hi Guys, Covered this in my introduction thread however I thought it might be more appropriate here. The engine warning, slip and VDC off light all come on the other day, went to an auto-electrician and the error code was the bank 2 camshaft position sensor. I am assuming it is only the sensor and not an actual engine problem however would it be OK to continue driving the car (almost no kms done since the issue) or would it be wise to wait until the new part arrives. The car has only been on the road since Thursday, so I would prefer not to leave it in the driveway if it is fine to drive in the meantime. Thanks in advance
  3. Hi Guys, New to the forums. As of Thursday I am the proud owner of a silver V35 350GT Premium. Previous car history, 85 Corolla, 85 929, currently have a BA falcon as a second car, owned an 01 Pearl Legnum, and a silver Evo VI before the current import. Loving the car so far, however already encountered one small issue which I have outlined in the wanting to buy section of the forums. Anyway, the engine warning, slip and vdc off light all came on the other day. Drove straight to an auto-electrician to find out the error code and its coming up with a bank 2 camshaft sensor problem. I have ordered a replacement however it wont be here till Tuesday. Can anyone tell me if there are any issues with me driving the car while I'm having this problem, or would it be best to leave the car in the driveway for a few days. Seems to be running great so I don't think there are any actual engine issues, just a blown sensor. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  4. Hi guys, New to the site. Imported a 2003 V35 Skyline 350GT Premium in silver, only took it through regency on Thursday and already having an issue. Engine warning light came on, as well as the 'slip light' and 'VDC off' light. Within 90 minutes I was at the auto electrician who identified a faulty Bank 2 camshaft position sensor so I am after a part to replace by Monday. Any help would be appreciated, as I am sure you are aware, I want to be driving this car, not just admiring it in the driveway . If anyone knows of someone wrecking a V35, 350Z or possibly even a Maxima with the VQ35DE engine, let me know. I want to grab the part today if possible (tomorrow at the latest) so I can fit it Sunday. I was quoted $145 new but can't get it till Tuesday. If anyone can confirm the issue I have described above as being the cam position sensor it would be appreciated. At this stage I am about as sure as I can be without pulling the existing unit off and checking with a multimeter. In the brief 150km I have driven the car so far, it has been amazing, decent power, not too stiff, nice cruiser. Very happy with the purchase. Thanks in advance Blake
