Hey mate i had the same problem, basically its wat had been just before by Paulr33. Your car is retarding the timing and therefore you feel that flat power band during the rev range at around about 4,500 to about 5,800 than it pulls like a rocket again. Well Basically its your shitty bleed valve this was the problem for me i had a turbo smart bleed valve and it would spike to 15psi no matter what the setting. My car was making 217.5 rwkws at 11 psi but the power curve was to the shit house, and basically a r33 with say 170rwkws would have eatten me for breakkie. I had the GCG hi flow but all the same the problem your having is to do with the boost spiking. And in my opinion get an electronic boost controller if you can afford it and maybe a dyno run just to make sure thats the problem. Does you car pull really hard from like 6,000 to redline?

yes u can buy a plate that bolts straight on to your for the turbo . not expensive at all , i have seen a 33 with same turbo on 18 psi make 290 rwkw with almost same mods as u but with clutch and front mount too .

hey mate, give GCG a call, they will put you in the right direction, as i am also have the same delema as yourself, also your car with the mods it has should blow off a vr-vs clubbie easy, and give a new ss a run for its money, have you raced any of these cars that you want to beat? Also i spoke to GCG and they said that they make the turbo as good as a gt-30 and can make up to 260rwkws with injectors, and after market ecu. And thats like 350hp at the wheels, which would put you into the medium to high 12 bracket, which would garentee an ass whopping for any HSV up to date for sure. Oh and GCG number is 1300 887 267

In brissy the, BP ultimate and Optimax, are very similar in price, unless of course you have on of those 4 cents off per litre dockets. I find they are both around 9 to 10 cents more expensive than regualr unleaded. By the way do they have moblie synergy 8000 in brisbane, if so where at?

Hey mate, why did you change from Famous to Just cars for? I have got third party, with Just cars at the moment. But the reason i didnt get fire and theft as well was because they only give you $5000.00 if your car is stolen. Did you know this already, coz it seems pretty stupid to pay the extra cash each year for fire and theft, if they are gonna give you only $5000 for you $20,000- $25,000. What do u think?

Hey i have an r33 gtst, i love rb25's. But if i was you i would put in a 1jz manual, or auto. that would be pretty fast man. I have a mate you does these conversions as well, might be able to get you good price, and maybe a cooler as well.

Hey, I neva said for one minute that they are not fast, i understand in stock form a gtir will beat an R33 gtst both drievn properly, So it should! Beuing almost 200kgs heavier, and similar in power, and not to mention the 4WD advantage. All in all I like both cars, Trust me i would still have a Gtir pulsar anyday, the fact is i have a skyline and im gonna keep it and mod it to the best of my abilty. So in the end i think it was a good race, know one will eva know besides me and the other driver, but in saying that im sure he woyuld agree that it was a good race.

Thats what i mean, i understand that they are quick, but the simple fact is that i beat one. The guy probably didnt know how to launch properly, but i still beat him at rolling starts from 60kms onward every time. The main reason i didnt get one was because of the problems i heard about the gerabox, clutch etc, and becasue they are not practical in my case.

Mate you really need to get your facts right, theres no way in hell a gtir gearbox is as strong as a GTR gearbox. Also the R33 gtst doesnt make 15kw less, it makes 15kw more and as for 300kg heavier i dont think so maybe 190kg. Also i never said that my car was stock, Coz its not i have done a few mods, anyways the big picture which i assume you havent got, is that i beat one weather or not it was stock or the driver was handicaped I STILL BEAT IT. And as for maybe he wanted to keep his lisence, what a crock of poo. Dont get me wrong, they are great cars, i never said they wernt, and im sure a nicely modded one would eat me for breakfast.

The reason i did not get a gtir pulsar was because of the weakness of parts, and lack of them. Also if your clutch goes, which it will if you do these 6000rpm launches that was suggested a few posts back than you have to almost take out the engine and gearbox, and thats no JOKE. Also i found the gtir pulsars to be to small, a R33 is just a nice package, you can cruise to the coast and take your mates, were as you couldnt even fit a primary schooler in the back of a pulsar. In the end its up to you. Remeber there is more potenital in skyline in my opinion, There are down sides to both of the cars in question, but for best value for money you cant go past an r33 gtst. Remember you cant drift in a Gtir pulsar. P.S And all i ahve heard is how theres no way a r33 could beat a Gtir pulsar, well im sorry to hurt your feeling s but it did, as simple as that. NO buts about it!
