  1. How can i leave the factory reverse camera but add the Aus tv tuner, or car pc? Is the port that the oem reverse camera takes up in the jap tv the only aux port? Or is my only option to have a carpc plugged into the jap tv tuner, and the reverse cam plugged into the carpc? Thanks for your help
  2. doesnt matter what car it is. if a grounding kit makes a difference all you are doing is putting a bandaid over a fault like dirty or rusty connections, and i doubt your car has this. example. if you put a new ground to your block and then a new ground to the head you have done nothing. the engine is one massive earth bus of 0 ohms. 20 earths to the motor is no better than 1 properly sized one. these cars and all modern cars have massive earths already otherwise your starter motor would not work because it is the largest current drawing device in the car. do a google search on it. the only example i can find that proved it works was on a rusty old subaru. and it worked because the cars original earth point were totally rusty. if you understood ohms law you can apply this to any car. multiple earths to the same motor is no better than one of correct size.
  3. As an auto electrician of 14 years i fail to see how adding extra earths to various parts of your car makes any difference what so ever unless your car has significant high resistance and bad connections which is highly unlikely. Ive fixed many bad earths on various cars, like the earlier R31 Skyline which had a slight voltage on the o2 sensor ground. This caused fuel mapping issues. My point it, unless your car has stray voltage on earth wires caused by bad connections to ground (very unlikely) a grounding kit will do nothing besides lighten your wallet.
  4. Not sure if I can say I can supply cam sensors?
  5. That will trip limp mode instantly.... Leave it plugged in. the cam sensor is probably only failing intermitently.
  6. Hi i am an auto electrician. if the only problem is a faulty cam sensor, then yes its ok to drive. The worst that can happen is limp home mode.
  7. Just saying hi! My partner and I have just purchased V35 350GT and keen to mod some of the original jap imported electronics and add a few other things. We've owned a 280zx in the past and also have a sport bike each, so we've got a few toys .
