+1 for Penrite oils. I use HPR15, cause the engine is a bit old, so something a little thicker. I don't know what its like for RB25s, so maybe use a HPR10 or 5. Also I don't know how hard it is to get to the filter on 25s, I have a fandangle filter claw thing (can get one from Supercheap, IIRC it was like $15 or so) that makes them a breeze to take off. On the 20s, its on the intake side, in the worst spot under the intake mani.

Still trying to find a clutch fan for an RB20det, if anyone knows/has anything around in decent condition. Need it ASAP, mine is on the verge of exploding
-
It was a recent purchase. We are all set up now and ready to go. Sausages are cooking, coffee van should be here soon. And best of all its all free!!
-
Have you got a rear vision mirror at all? Mine doesn't "flick up" to stop my eyes from getting blasted by headlights
-
Ohh damn my intercooler piping goes over the engine. The main issue is the actual fan apart, I can get the hub assembly off ebay.

No Mine!!! Great it fits, I was stressing a bit that it wouldn't fit or line up properly with everything else. Good thing I didn't just chuck it -

Car is getting hotter than normal (above half way) I presume that's not normal. Trying to bleed the cooling system of any air, still no good. Does anyone have any suggestions? -
Does anyone have/know of a clutch fan for an RB20 for sale? Mine is rooted. Had a look on eBay, all that is there is the hub, I need the plastic fan part as well.

A short wheel base car, with an LSD, goes very alright. If you don't know what your doing, and it gets out of hand, be prepared to change your undies. Any type of ported rotaries cost lots of $$$ to build and maintain then rebuild and maintain some more. Again fuel economy isn't the greatest. Just keep your 33. You won't find a car that is quick, looks cool and is cheap to run. Here is a good rule to use: Quick, Cheap, Reliable <-- you can only pick two.
-
FD's aren't all that cheap. You can find a half decent series 6 (first of the FD's) for around $15k, if you want a good one, you will have to spend the money. Like what everyone else says, rotors and fuel economy shouldn't be seen in the same sentence. I have a series 3 Rx7, with a 12a, a little bit done to it. It uses the same amount fuel as the 32 does.

Nah 4th time lucky. Well I went there 3 times in one day, the kept winging about the exhaust height. I couldn't do it properly on Monday, so got a big ol' hammer and bashed it flat. They really didn't like that, so yeah don't do that. Ended up having to re weld the back half of the pipe, they were happy after that. One dude there seemed to think that I had put restricter plates in the exhaust, because having a 3" pipe go into a tiny pee shooter muffler does nothing to make it quiet (Idiots, goes to show how much they actually know). Another guy asked me if it did have the plate, I went full retard and gave him a blank look and said I don't know what a restricter plate is. So that seemed to work, they stamped the paperwork and I was on my way! -

Put my newly acquired ACT plates on the car this morning. Me: 1, Dickson: 0 -
You will need to get an ID check anyway. I have the same thing going on right now, I have a "relaxed" roadworthy lined up and found I had to go in for an ID check anyway, so I didn't want to be that guy that makes some dude lose his stamp. Don't be that guy. Better off to just make it as good as possible, do all the little dumb stuff like child seat restraints, make sure any pod filters/rad overflows/everything else is bolted in. If you have a front mount, make sure the reo for the front bar hasn't been cut. Check that your tyre placards are in English and you have the correct rolling diameter and load rating. I'm fairly certain the battle over coilovers that everyone has been having is fine now, so it means that you can still have them. If you have any questions call the technical advisers at Dickson, they are pretty good, and not as kunty as everyone else. I can't find the number, but call 13 22 81, and ask to speak to a technical adviser.

So I took my car over to everyone's favourite inspection pit. The reaming wasn't that bad. All that failed was rolling diameter and tyre load (easy fix, borrow stockies will good tread and correct load rating). Insufficient ground clearance for the exhaust, yet surprisingly the Db was right on the limit, so I'll just borrow a stock exhaust from Trojan. Left hand CV boot on driveshaft was split. I just need to put child restraints in, the centre rear seat belt was missing, but it was just hiding behind the seat. Finally the engine tune up sticker. I hope that this isn't the start of their little games they seem to play with everyone. But time will tell I suppose. -
Really? Feel free to make an offer. I'm hoping to have some te37 goodness when all this rego shenanigans is over.
-
When is your inspection. I have a set of r33 gtr wheels, that will be getting new tyres soon. I'm borrowing a friends 34 gtt wheels. Ill pm you regarding the exhaust.
-
Hi SAU, I need to borrow a stock exhaust urgently. I have an appointment at Dickson for the car to go over the pits, the only thing holding me back from passing is the exhaust. Everything from leaks to headlight adjustment has been done, just need the exhaust now. Happy to pay rental fee in cash or beer/bourbon. Please comment or PM if you can help.

Has anyone got a stock exhaust for an R32 GTS-T I can borrow. I have an inspection with dickson on Friday, so If I could pick up tomorrow night that would be fantastic.
-
If your in West Lakes in South Australia, then yes I did. Yeah sounds good, Ill send a PM

The little brackets behind the indicators have broken, and the whole unit is being held in with zip ties. I only really need the back black part, if I can pull the orange part off the existing indicators. It seems the car has had a front ender at some point, the bit on the rad support that the headlight bolts too is cracked and not really supporting much. Plus the front bumper looks like ass, and is all out of alignment.
-
Has anyone got a set of front indicators (the ones that sit next to the headlights) for an r32 GTS-T? Have cash waiting.
-
Does anyone have a set of front indicators for a R32 for sale? Brackets are snapped off mine, and they are being held in with zipties.
