hey guys, names Tamas, am new to all this turbo stuff, i have been working in a general mechanics workshop for roughly 4 years part time now. i know a sh!t load about N/A cars, but not much about turbos and high performance motors.
i recently bought an R32 gtst off of a mate after he crashed it and caved the front left corner in. i got it cheap with the sole intention of putting it on the track and getting into drifting. has some great parts, but it is running like a dog at the moment
its an RB20DET with the following bolted onto it:
-RB25 45V2 turbo
-big fmic with custom piping
-bosch 044 fuel pump
-blitz super access computer
-drift pod filter
-R33 gbox etc etc
Problems :
-sometimes when you start it, it wont idle and almost stalls, and when you go to rev it up, probably doesnt go above 1500rpm with foot flat (no rev guage)
-other times you will start it and it will rev up fine, and the turbo will surge but when you go to drive it, it coughs and splutters and bunny hops all over the place.
have checked all the usuall suspects; AFM (changed with a spare i have, made no difference), coilpacks - unplugged them one at a time while running - all made a difference to revs, checked fuel pump - DEFINATELY working lol, check all IC piping for leaks, checked water temp sensor, dont really know what else to do.... any pointers guys? cheers
