R34 GT-T owners, insurance quote...
Yotis replied to SS8_Gohan's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Just out of curiosity SS8_Gohan wat mods does this R34 your getting/got has? -
I had all the prescripted "protection" from MING when I first bought the car and believe me its a waste of money. Except the sound deading and also rust proof. As to dash mat.. its correct I pretty sure you cannot/should not put dash mat on air bag cars cause it actually causes problems. To look after your interior get window tinting, sunshade that covers the whole wind screen and try to keep the car in shade as much as possible. This goes a long way.. You can also get some non-silicon based product interior treatment make sure they shine and good too. Oh for the waxing get something that is clear coat safe.. I use meguares soft wash, they are awesome. As to the electric anti rust.. I was checking that out too.. I started a thread not long ago and still cant decide on that either.. how much have you been qouted for it?

Why you should pay attention while driving...
Yotis replied to Revhead's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Hrmm.. yer hope the dude recover well.. There are some really stupid/crazy people that drives on the road, so far I've had a lance n a magna tried to wipe me out *sigh* There must a something about mitsubishi cars against mine.. As to giving extra care to motorbike riders I just treat them like any other motor vehicle, tho some motorbike dudes are just plain silly. ie. going high speed between cars, riding with just a T-Shirt. *shakes his head* Just my 2c worth. -
Hrmm... 235/40/18(?) front and 265/35/18(?) rear with nitrogen.. Bob Jane pumped it up to 36psi front and rear, which is also what a friend of mine told me.

R34 GT-T owners, insurance quote...
Yotis replied to SS8_Gohan's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Assuming this is from Just Cars? Well.. I'm 24 and like you have ~5yrs hist (?), no accidents, claims, fines, etc. Well.. cept a ticket for parkin at a loading zone for 5 min. Anyhow, I have a slightly modified R34 GTT and my full comp. premium is just over 1500 so yer looks like your premium is pretty reasonable. People would tell you to just get 3rd party fire and theft, but the question comes down to can you afford to have an accident or someone to taking out your car (assuming the worse case scenario)? If you cant afford insurance then you might want to look at a car that is reasonable in power output yet still cheaper to insure? Bare in mind that R34 is still not very common yet like R32s or R33s, so there is a big difference in premium. -
o..O I seemed to remember there was more female attendence on the last cruise.. ? If memory serves anna's attached boys.. correct me if I'm wrong of course anna.

Hrmm.. have been told to stick with ultimate, reason includes optimax has been known to cause issues like pinging.. and that ultimate seems to be better for turbos and produce more consistence engine running output... and that is what I have only used since I had the car.. Tho a old but knowledgable dude at work (which drives a porshe 928) told me tat is bs and that all the brands buy fuel from each other. So I duno wat to think.. tho I'm tempted to run a full tank of optimax to see what effect I will get.. Only after my next major service/tune.. another 2000k away.

Whew.... so far looks like I dont have a hard job later on in fixing up any weaknesses Thank you all for the valuable information. BTW.. If memory did not fail me.. there was a skyline in the current special edition of HPI that has a r34 GTT engine in it and it was using 700cc injectors..
-
Ooooooo. nice dish rims... I want
-
sewid: I thought they all look the same ? Actually this leads to another question.. eheh Is there more info on the diff between series 1 and 2? I wasnt even aware of there is a series two of the R34 GTT. As to the front bar.. I have an after market bodykit and it dont look too bad. franks: Interesting about the injectors.. will keep that in mind.. The stock turbo seems ok for me, as I'm sorta running standard boost atm I agree with the climate control annoyance.. but guess I can live with it

Hello all, Hoping this is the right section to post this, if not please move to the appropriate section. Basically the question I have is has anyone fitted any electronic anti rust thingi into their skyline? If so what brand, price and where did you get it done? Also is if worth getting one fitted? or is there a better solution in keeping rust free? PS. Still learning and tryin to keep me car as smick as possible.

Hello all, Just like to have an idea on some weaknesses (if there is any) on skyline R34 GTTs ? Other than the weight factor of course.
