haha u got me there! long time between the sporty comment and the rav 4 comment will not that long but yah, between those couple of months i was always looking for a car that would be move convinient and that i wouldnt mind having, never had a car like a Rav4 so kinda took an interest to it more to the point is that the two family cars are already a holden and ford, so kinda wanted to stay away from the two especially commodore, berlina, falcon etc..

Hey guys! Its the time of the year where rego has run out and im thinking of selling the car. *1996 Nissan Skyline GTS-T MSPEC ECR33 Series II *79,000 on the dash could be geniune? it had 67ks on it when i got it *Custom Leather Interior Front and Back and i got the heaters for the Front Seats installed recently *Mongoose M80 Series Alarm *3 1/4 inch exhaust from turbo with a 4.5 inch Blitz NUR Spec Muffler *HKS Airfilter with Airflow Meter *Blitz BOV in car but not installed *Alpine CDA-9815 *Orion CS200.4 Amp *Custom Momo Italy Gearknob *Blitz Dual Turbo Timber DCII *Full HID Xenos Light Kit *17 Inch Racing Sparco Rims *BF Goodrich G-force Tyres *GTR Strut Tower Bars (front and back) *Tinted Windows As you can see the car hasent been modifed for performance much but more for the class factor and it looks and drives very well. I personally think this car is one of a kind and doesnt look like the core of skylines out there. Ill be looking for $18,000 with no rego or full one year rego for $19,000. would consider a trade of same value aswell. contact: [email protected] or jus send me a persona msg cheers alek

Peoples Experience with "the pits" aka rta inspection site
Russkie replied to Russkie's topic in New South Wales
im pretty sure its only to check if the numbers are correct because on the blue slip paper it has a stamp that says "subject for rta identity check" so im guessing its only numbers, i rang up the rta technical enquires and the guy knew nothing at all im hoping i should be sweet cause i dont have an engineers certificate cause i didnt need it as it was registered as a raws vechile, but as i said before i dont have the vechile inspection certificate but it can be checked on the net anyway on the dotars website, hopefully there not bas*tards about it -
Peoples Experience with "the pits" aka rta inspection site
Russkie posted a topic in New South Wales
Hey guys i got a blue slip for my car now, and all i need to do is go for a identity check on the booking sheet it says for 'raws" vechiles which my car is, it was imported last year and registered in queensland for 6 months now im trying to register it in nsw anywayz... it goes for raws vechile on the booking sheet a vechile inspection certificate is needed the guy i bought my car of didnt give me that and is gone now, i rang up dotars and they should they dont give them out anymore and they can just check it on the net like its all done electronically, so i was just wondering if this would be sufficient? or are they real d*cks there aswell i still got my air filter with air flow meter still in there, ive taken of the BOV and changed exhaust all that to get my blue slip, but would they defect me at the pits if they see my air filter or reject my inspection? just wondering how they are there cheers -

Russkie replied to Russkie's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations

Blue Slip/Import Papers?
Russkie replied to Russkie's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
Hey guys! update to the situation well i wrote a letter to dotars and they sent me a letter back saying the car had import approval on this date..... as a RAWS SEVS vechile etc.... so i went to the mechanic and he told me i need to get an engineers certificate done, so i called up an automotive engineer than the rta special enquires and they told me both cause the car has a Registered Automotive Workshop number on it i dont need an engineers certificate, then i called back the mechanic and his like nah the engineers dont know shit blah blah u still need one would anyone know who is right? i would tend to go with the rta and an rta approved engineer rather than a mechanic -
Blue Slip/Import Papers?
Russkie replied to Russkie's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
ahhhh *** yah i heard about the two year rego aswell but its only been registered here for 6 months, i rang up the automotive engineer and he told me that i dont need to get an engineers certificate because its already been complied here and has the compliance plate on the car and a VIN number therefore i dont need to get it certified here again im planning to send a letter to the guys in canberra, cant remember what there called at the moment but u mentioned them, hoping to get a copy of the import papers, cause its already been approved here and shit, just need the actual import papers i guess for more proof, the guy i bought it of is alright he just said he might'v lost them when he moved to nsw from queensland, so yah if i he lost them im gona get him to send a letter to them to get another copy then it should be sweet -
Ok so ive rang up the rta 3 times now and asked them the same question do i need need import papers when im getting a blue slip in nsw when the car is registered in queensland, and they all have told me no but whenever i go to a stoopid ass mechanic they always demand import papers and wont look at the car until they have them, then one rang up the rta and confirmed this, but everytime i seem to call they tell me i dont need them, im pissed off cause i dont have these import papers, the guy i bought my car from "lost some of the papers" has everyone else needed to provide import papers when registering the car in a state where it hasent been registered before?
-
nahhh i havent ever got a defect for the car just had it for 2 months also ive realised since the car has been imported in the last 2 years i need to get a civ or vic certificate for it but yah i dont know im hearing different things from alot of people just confused
-
oh ive been told otherwise by like all the mechanics ive rang up, they are saying the maxium dB level is meant to be 90? they said you could get a electrician certificate aswell i rang up one of those and they said they check the exhaust and the max is 90 again where abouts did you guys get your blue slip done? i might have to take my car to rta inspection aswell cause its been imported within the last 2 years, *** the system is a bitch!

Russkie replied to Russkie's topic in General Automotive Discussion
yah cause my aunty is a driving instructor and my dad was talking to her.... she was saying something about them introducing it possibly later this year for all p platers and also some curfew on high performance cars after 10.30pm i wasent really clear on that one tho -
Hey guys... im not sure if this question has been asked before but im meant to be buying an 96 model r33 tomorrow after my old one was written off due to an accident, but my aunty was telling me they are going to introduce a ban on high performance cars for ALL p-platers, is this true? i thought it was only for red p's which was meant to be introduced early this year or it might have already been introduced if anyone knows more info would be good cheers alek
