G'day guys, First of all, just wanted to say hi as I'm new to the forumI've got a 2003 v35 coupe that was bought from one of the members here. Still love the car like the day I bought it, I am a bit fussy when it comes to keeping the car in its best condition which is why I'm a bit upset about what happened last Friday night...anyway long story short here is what happened. I parked my car in a secured underground car park, went for dinner then came back to find out that someone intentionally chipped both side of my windows using a key or some sort of sharp object. Rang up a few place like O'Brien etc but none of them are willing to repair tempered glass and the only option is to replace the whole glass which they quoted around $750 per side. Although I do have comprehensive insurance, my excess is way to high which means I'll cop the repair cost whether it's repaired/replaced. So my question is: 1.has anyone had any experience with any kind of DIY glass repair kit used to repair tempered glass? I might give it a go since I'd have to replace it even if it fails. 2.any places where i can source a replacement glass for cheaper? (i might give Nissan a call but i'd expect they want a fortune for it...) Thanks
