  1. Hi Al that's a great result. also the under bonnet shots show off a lot of neatness eg the airbox. very naace, i like. whats the small rubber tube coming to/from the airbox? cheers
  2. Thanks for the pic, that's exactly what I had in mind. Can I ask how you secured the plate / base to the floor and if there's anything ie reo on the other side? Cheers
  3. I'd like to use something more solid than the floor, even if it meant making a dedicated shelf like in the R33 mounted on two hard points. I can understand why race cars have boxes mandated, and why it makes sense to have a vent. But the R33 has no box and therefore no vent, or an infinite one depending how you look at it. Mounting aside, I guess I have to talk to the nice people at the NSW RTA about the requirements for a streeter.
  4. Hi Duncan Do you mean inside as in 'inside the cabin'? I'm talking about relocating to the boot as in R33 and R34 location. My preference is to go for dry cell. I'll be interested to see where you put it, the wiring etc is easy it's just the choice of location and method of mounting that I'm keen to see. Cheers
  5. I'm sure lots of people have done this but I can't find anything by searching. I'm keen to see where and how people have mounted their batteries as that would save me a lot of time. Pics would be greatly appreciated. I'd particularly like to see the set up in a racecar (not sure if CAMS allows it) as that'll have been scrutineered and give me a good idea of what I need to do to stop the battery flying through the back seat. Also race people can you tell me where you got your relocation kits from please? Not sure if I'll use a dry cell or standard battery. Cheers and thanks
  6. products like that do exist but the GTR material doesn't hold the colour and it's likely to come off on your clothes. try it discreetly but that's my bet based on what i saw with it.
  7. Ash I'll PM you as we're far off topic now. Cheers
  8. closest seat material to original macro suede type is probably 'alcantara' as used by lambo, audi, porsche, amg etc and available from Gineico in Sydney from memory about $110/m on a 1.4m wide roll. classic british and german in sydney have a similar product but slightly coarser and more expensive. there are similar alternatives but i can't vouch for them. alcantara is bullet proof hence why they use it on ferrys etc. as it is very wear and uv resistant. unfortunately due to fading and batch changes etc its unlikely you can ever match the original perfectly.
  9. Hi Ash, got mine from Jap auctions. I've got a spare Nismo one without the stopper you can have for $50 plus postage. Probably not worth making one for that price I just don't need it.
  10. injectors sold pending payment.
  11. and the winner of the injectors is... BNR32t. sold pending payment.
  12. 20-40 doesn't sound right. 40 is ok but something like a 5 or 10 w-40 is more like it. with a 20w the cold idle will be sky high.
  13. price drop to $500 on the injectors, not keen to go lower than that. BNR32t has expressed interest so he gets frst dibs. cheers
  14. price drop on the injectors
  15. on a 32 GTR there is room if you use a Nismo one that is quite steep at both ends and gives some adjustment. not sure about GTSt.
  16. if i still had GTR seats i'd be keeping them at least for trips, amazingly they also don't look too bad on. surely someone has exquisite style and taste of the 007 variety...?
  17. you're correct, air reg is warm up and AAC is ancillaries. the AAC affects power steering but mainly at parking speeds. they make the car nicer to drive in an everyday sense, but if that doesn't interest you i think you can block them off all together.
  18. any interest in these? good for protecting your stock seats.
  19. Jim how are you going with this? You have PM. Cheers
  20. thanks mate thats a good tip. the link says "Mine's Triple Flow Cam Cover Baffle Plate always separates the gas from the oil by adopting three-layer structure that forms the gas / oil separator". Sounds promising. Cheers
  21. Guys and gals I've got these for sale $500 for the injectors (sold to BNR32t), $300 for the pump including registered post but deduct $20 for local pick up. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Sa...23#entry3694523 Prefer local sale, please let me know if you're interested. Cheers
  22. I'm trying to get away without a catch can, at least in the short term. These aren't going to be as good but could still be quite effective. Does anyone know if they are better than the mesh baffle already in the RB26 cam cover? ? http://hioctaneracing.com.au/eshop/product...products_id=503 Cheers
  23. mate try SSS Automotive or Just Jap in Sydney as they will most likely have some. they also appear in the for sale thread. original will be stupid $. by aftermarket do you mean Z32? if so you are right it'll need a retune but also changes to airbox etc if you're running one or at least pod adapters as Z32 is a different diameter. they can be repaired in some cases, at times they suffer from dry joints. crack the top off the AFM by carefully cutting around the square cap which is secured with sealant and have a really close look at the pins that attach to the plug. it's obvious when you take the top off. sometimes you can't see the break so resolder them anyway. search the forced induction thread it's all there. it's worth a try some people have had good success but take it to an electronic repair place if you're not confident. there's also a place called PLMS in Adelaide - do a google search - that has repaired them previously.
  24. nooooooooooooooooooooo! don't do it Michelle. if the rest of it is as good as the engine bay that car is a keeper. original and straight R32 GTRs are a real treasure and everyone appreciates them. imho moving to a V spec isn't worth the hassle unless you have found one that is as good as yours and a VSpec is a must have for you.
