Having seen the Proengines kit I can tell you it is excellent. Remember also that you will soak up a lot of time and money rooting about if you go with an external pick up unless you've got access to someone that has done it before, so effectively the plate is only $550 or so.
Greg I think we need to work on your Japlish. For example 'The strong freedom of the rising sump power, you feel' is more accurate.
That's amazing. I got hold of a new F6/R4 Brembo BA FPV GT-P set up and while the front was going to be relatively simple the rear disc offset was a lot different. In the end I decided I'll onsell them at some stage. Nice brakes though. I got quoted $1000 per end to have caliper brackets made up for the big Brembos, that was part of the reason for deciding to move them on.
The F50s are OK I guess, biggest 4 pot I'm aware of and run a 355mm disc. They are on the BA GT-Ps also. The thing was the kit comes with two peice hats and Brembo brackets, so it's a drop-in fit.
Noooooooooooo! I just bought a Brembo F50 front kit on Jap Yahoo.
Simon I agree, keep them the way they are; if it's good enough for AMG it's good enough for the GTR. Can I ask how you went adapting the handbrake? Not sure of the AMG offset but the Falcon GT-P and Viper SRT10 rear 355mm disc offsets are similar to the GTR if you need discs down the track.
and another one so soon...
people who don't even try to park properly between the white lines. how hard is it? bloody hard evidently. not sure if it's stupidity (no one has ever explained what the white lines are for), laziness (it takes so much effort to straighten out the car), ignorance (the lines are just a 'guide'), a complete lack of respect for others (the fact that people have to park either side has escaped notice) or the complete absence of a care factor (which makes you really cool,yo).
or maybe it's a combination of the above.
i need to have a nice cup of tea and file my teeth while i'm watching V8 qual.
looking for a particular car part for ages, and there's nothing around. ever. you find one example, buy it, and NEXT DAY THE THERE'S EXAMPLES ON EBAY, SAU FS THEAD, AND JAP AUCTIONS. Dead set sh$ts me!
nice.
as coincidence would have it i just spent last week on the phone trying to track down a set of these to do precisely what you've done. nothing available, even o/s. you must have better search skills.
bearclaw? is that the model one up from the cameltoe and two up from the mooseknuckle? (you know..."mooseknuckle, because cameltoe has an ugly sister") (sorry)
just ordered the ATI damper i've been umming and aahing about, $500 landed on special from Summit Racing in the US. best i could find was about $745 here, if anyone's interested get in while the dollar is flying high.
cheers
for an in-tank pump i don't think they come much bigger, but i'd rather not be responsible for putting a kw figure on it as that can be affected by a number of things. a quick call to a Sard distributor should tell you what you want to know soon enough.
cheers
