  1. I think they were saying it's the time that the injector takes to operate in response to the ecu signal rather than the inherent opening / closing speed or anything else. OK, if the PFC compensates for it why does it matter what the lag time is? What real world difference will it make?
  2. Keen to know if anyone has experience with this. For example the Sard 700cc single hole inj has a shorter response time than the twin hole 800. Hi Octane tell me that it relates to the time taken for the injectors to react to a command from some ecus, but that with a PFC the 700s and 800s will have no difference in response time. Cheers
  3. guys they are a small operation, you need to wait a while to get replies. i'm in for a group buy for sure.
  4. Hi Paul, didn't know they did that. Is there a pump that sits near the ATTESSA pump that does this? Mine no longer has the rear rack but if there's a pump that performs that function maybe it's having a wobbly.

  6. hope someone can help me out with this, there's a noise that sometimes comes from the rear of the car after shut down. quite loud, but disappears before i can get under the car. hard part is describing it. it's not a buzzing sound and i don't think it's the fuel pump as it doesn't sound muffled as though it's in the tank. sounds like a small foghorn, lasts for a few seconds then dies away. almost like a seal letting go under pressure and then sealing again as the pressure decreases.
  7. what about using 355mm GT-P discs from RDA / DBA? same pcd, but bigger studs and centre / hub hole. different offset but if you're making brackets anyway it doesn't matter unless the offset interferes with something. make up a few bushes and you're away.
  8. shifter for sale again due to disappearance of buyer.
  9. Ok now I'm confuzzled. ATI website shows a 500hp damper and a 600-1000 hp unit. I'm not aware of a 500 hp damper hence my question re cutting it fine for 350 rwkw. Cheers
  10. no springs with the shocks, just shocks and lower seats so you need to use the stock hats. i can do a good deal on some Trust 20%+ springs that will work with the stock seats and hats. yes short shifter is still for sale.
  11. Hi Mike, they are Koni sport yellows, height and damper adjustable. Purchased from Toperformance 2 years ago, have about 10,000 km or road driving. Located in Canberra. Cheers
  12. Al i was absolutely committed to getting an aftermarket damper and spoke to ross and powerbond. both told me that on an RB26/30 revved to 7500 max in a non competition car (ie no requirement for a certified damper) the standard one is as good as anything. powerbond even said that the standard one is better at reducing torsional vibration than some lighter afermarket ones. Dave i can appreciate that the ATI damper reduces torsional vibration the degree of deflection on that graph curve would presumably not be applicable to all engines? I might well be missing something. Paul if the stock pumps live OK to 7000 then the redline of over 7000 in the RB26 is a bit scary! Regards
  13. Hi everyone, Got a few assorted bits for sale let me know if you're interested. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...34&hl=tomei Also got some Koni dampers for R32 GTR, firm but not Jap 'rock hard' if you know what I mean. Cost me over $1000, to you $500. Cheers
  14. is that cutting it a bit fine? 350 x 1.34 = 469 rwhp. what drivetrain loss are you expecting? just curious because i'd have an ATI by now if it wasn't for the cost of the bigger one.
  15. mate i tried it, as far as i'm concerned it doesn't work properly due to the belt being overtight. made all sorts of measurements and turned up a dummy pulley out of plastic to see if i could get an idea of what measurement would work with a 149 tooth belt and 30mm diameter seemed right. looked everywhere for that diameter tensioner but none of them were up to the load rating. suffice to say one tooth makes a ridiculous amount of difference to the pulley diam and a 150 tooth belt had so much slack that there was bugger all clearance left when it was tensioned. it was 'pain in my a$$holes...' even had the NSK bearing tech guys looking for me but they couldn't find anything either so in the end i went with the hi/low setup.
  16. white R33 gtr going down to bateman's on friday night.
  17. Highly recommend John Wilson at AKZ. He will not tolerate rubbish - not suggesting for a second that you would try - but will work with you to produce sound engineering solutions if he knows you're prepared to do things properly.
  18. the bosses are there - on mine anyway - you just have to drill and tap them. the GTROC thread where R32 Combat / Andy shows his rebuild has good pics.
