  1. linedup33: I'm in Canberra mr rb man: i bought it for a R32 GTR but I understand the ebc isn't vehicle specific whereas the PFS itself. should work fine with the right PFC for the car.

  4. They seem quite convinced it's to do with belt flex, but what you say re timing variance and the CAS spline is interesting and could well be the problem, as you suggest. Did you pursue a solution to eleiminate this?
  5. Guys; A number of posts on the very good GTROC UK RB30 thread refer to RB ignition scatter at >4500 rpm due to the CAS set up. The last few pages describe a problem whereby there is significant ignition scatter due to cam belt flex affecting the CAS, and in particular the crank flex affecting the crank pulley and in turn the cam bet and CAS even more at high RPM + load. A Datalog example to illustrate the problem is provided. Theory seems to be that this can be alleviated by use of a crank trigger or ring gear trigger which makes sense, but the existence of the problem in the first place interests me.   7. ATI seem to have the vote, but Ross is also popular. I'm wondering when the cost becomes justified though ie over 8000 rpm? They seem to all be underdriven, which I'm not keen on for a street car anyway. Rocket sells their underdriven 5R Racing brand balancers for only $250 or so but can't tell me how they compare to the ATI or Ross. I'd like to hear from someone who has tried standard RB26 and then ATI balancers on an RB30 to see if it cures the 'harmonic' probs supposedly associated with the RB30. Michael? Cheers
  8. are you sure it's inj 'leak' ? i'd be surprised if the ecu could measure that. have you had your injectors tested?

  14. for the price of a set of 255s you can get much better 235s, as bluprint is suggesting. this is particularly the case since commondoors take 235s and the economy of scale makes them cheaper. add far wider choice and it's a win both ways. add to that less tramlining and smoother ride; unless you're dragging, in which case wider might always be better, i'd rather go for good 235 than an average or unknown 255 anyday. just my 2c.

  19. I've got two R32 GTR seats for sale, asking $680 ono. I'm a bit negotiable but won't sell them much cheaper. The driver's seat has very minimal wear (I'm being harsh) on the right hand lower bolster from getting in and out, and the passenger seat is pretty much immaculate.   21. dump pipes are unlikely to be the problem, upgrading will not fix the lag issue. try a search here for 34 n1 part nos and compare them to yours, that may answer the question of the turbos.
