if you do a search it should yield some results. there was also an HPI article some time ago and from memory they found the pre tuned ecu was very rich with not a lot of gain. the thing with those ecus is that you don't really know for sure what they are tuned for although there are guidelines. warm idle should be about 950 rpm cold about 1100 but then again it could be the ecu. cheers

the ACLs i bought are are flat top. everything considered is dome top preferable with respect to creating the correct squish etc?

Jayce is on the money re the Mines ecu, Blitz Access ecu is along the same lines. Chiptorque in Nerang are about the only people I know in Oz with a 4wd dyno that can reflash after installing their own chip. I understand Dr Drift in Melb can also do it but not sure of the contact details or dyno access. Some people seem to get very good results with the Jap 'flashed'ecu - but you really need to run it up on the dyno and see, at least for safety sake. Afaik DTS dyno is 4wd, at least it was when I went there. Cheers

I suspect you'll be disappointed then if you are expecting only a bit of a monster, it should be an absolute animal. Congrats on having the cojones to tackle a transplant - do it once and do it right even if it takes a bit longer -the long term benefit is worth it. If you decide to connect the RB30 to an RB20 gearbox from whence you got the head, please make sure you stick a shrapnel blanket around the box Cheers

Hi Guys, These kits come with an aluminium ring that looks like a spacer designed to raise the nylon cup that holds the shifter, due to the extended lower section. I've tried putting it under the nylon cup and it looks like it belongs there but the shifter appears unable to move laterally across the gate and doesn't feel right. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong? Cheers

anyone know what sort of revs a pair of R34N1s will run out if puff at on an RB26/30? assuming everything else is up to the task, i'm thinking there will be a point when the intake temp starts to rise and they will become inefficient.

afaik racebrakes in sydney have suspension set ups that they can use as a jig. might be worth a try they're very helpful.

everyone's gearboxes holding up ok then?
