  1. Most people swear by Redline Shockproof but it's very expensive ($100+ for 4l?). I've used Syntrax synth at $80/4l but it didn't feel as good as Valvoline Duragear which is about $35/4l. Castrol VMX 80 or Syntrans shold also be OK.
  2. i like the fact that Duncan's is concealable. kinda sneaky, like duncan
  3. yes but spend m3 engine $ on an rb30 and the rpm outcome might be impressive. not the same of course because bmw are vv smart, but impressive nonetheless.
  4. Does anyone know if they will interchange and if not, what changes are needed? Thanks
  5. black R33 near convention centre just after midday. nice looking car.
  6. champion, good result. now, how about doing some for a gtr...
  7. there are sparco agents in sydney - sorry don't know the name but they advertise in hpi etc and if you goolge sparco etc aust they'll come up. as for getting centre caps, good luck - i had the same problem for a set i previously owned and had no joy with anyone in aust. jap auctions through slidewize etc might be quickest.
  8. interested in the rail, does this include freight? i'm in canberra cheers
  9. sin this is only as long as when you turn up you are wearing just a leather biker cap and chaps, and clutching a rose between your teeth. you can grow the thick moustache while you're saving for the moped.
  10. there is a diagnostic test that involves stomping on the brake pedal quickly a certain number of times and simultaneously turning the steering wheel left/right quickly a number of times. i'm not joking. i've seen it done on my GTR when the hicas (highly catastrophic a'hole system) was still installed and the sucker sat there stationary idling, twitching its wheels left, then right until the diag was switched off. there is a thread on here that describes the sequence, do a search and you'll prob fnd it.
  11. it does come with a hand controller, post edited to make this clearer. thanks.
  12. Thanks Big Sully, appreciate the input.
  13. and a used one without a controller albeit for an R33 has just been advertised for $650. i am a little negotiable but sorry can't do a brand new in the box pfc with controller for anywhere near $500.
  14. this morning about 0845, silver R33 with white wheels, female driver, clearly enjoys roundabouts and boost.
  15. champion. no better feeling...ok, not many are better...
  16. a twist break? that'd be huge torque. i'd have thought the tooth belt would strip before that happened.
  17. no doubt. it's his choice, i like to stick to what tyre manufacturers recommend.
  18. 235/45/17, smallest recommended fit for a 9" rim.
  19. i'd have thought the same as the Baron, did you install them yourself? if a hard drop in transport could put a hairline crack in a cam then it won't cope with the stress of being a bump stick, hard drop or not. and if it was enough of a hit to do that then you prob see a mark on the cam...a big one. was it the same head ?
  20. Hi Guys; does anyone know: 1. the weight difference between similar size mild steel and titanium cat back exhausts (assuming same size mufflers)? 2. if R32 GTR and R33 GTR catback systems are the same? Cheers
  21. i'm using 17x9 +15 on a 32 GTR and it's fine.
  22. i think the intention here was to have them double as pie coolers. pie too hot? place in front of duct, drive for 2 minutes then remove. perfecto. the reduced cross sectional area stops said pie from entering brake rotor - messy.
