  5. if you you try to dump the oil and none comes out, then you have a problem
  6. pm and email sent
  7. you mean you asked for yellow?
  8. Hey guys, I know one has a projector and the other one doesn't, but does that mean the reflector in the N1s is better or less diffused on low beam (I think the proj provide low beam fro memory)? Or does it mean I can run hi watt bulbs in the N1 on both sides rather than high in the hi beam and normal in the projector. Just wondering what options it would give me to improve the lights. Regards
  9. you might want to send a small sample away to get analysed. stick into a clean PET container ie plastic coke bottle, wrap tape around the screw top and package it well. most of the oil companes will do this for you, pretty sure duncan has had it done. oil usually burns grey/white and fuel black, not sure what brown means. have heard various reports re pennzoil, a search should turn up a few comments. not sure what 'car would r and r' means? cheers

  12. just spoke to Trevor - they didn't do the dyno run with the stock GTR and comp pipes, he has it arranged for later this week. i think we're close...
  13. a search will reveal a few methods, one approach is to place a long handled extension and socket on the crank pulley, rest the handle of the extension on the nearest solid mount in the engine bay (make sure it's on the correct side!) and let the starter motor do the work (no resposibility taken for this advice LOL)
  14. does that mean the right model of PFC will work with the FPCM in the same way the stock one does?
  15. I've got a standard shifter from an R32 GTR if that suits but it has a split boot also (I assume from the post that you need both?). Just get some inner tube and quick grip, worked a treat on mine until I got a new one from Nissan for about $30. Cheers
  16. does the Bride fixed back have conventional style rails or side mount and if they are conventional are you willing to sell rails alone? cheers
  17. not sure that there is a simple direct relationship, wheel ratios play too much of a part in this. how much weight difference are we talking? you could start probably calc a start point by knowing the wheel ratio, spring rate and weight over the front axle and comparing it to a car that has similar attributes but it'd be a lot of stuffing around to find that 'other' car. if it's a small weight increase see how it drives and then make adjustments accordingly. alternatively do the conversion, find out what the weight is over the front axle and then compare to another car - easier this way but i'm hoping there's not mnuch weight difference.
  18. hmmm...ok...i guess if you've seen it that's proof enough. just wondering why though as retarded ign means less mixture burnt? and re emmissions...why would anyone with a PFC want a function that caters to emmissions in any case? i still reckon the only reason that they run rich / retarded when cold is to protect an engine that hasn't reached operating temp yet and is therefore thermally inefficient. can't see it as being to speed the warmup process. cheers
  19. yes there are instrument places and cable drive places that will modify them. or try and get a replacement from a wrecker, $ for $ it's probably the easiest path.
  20. i think that the length of the pipes after the dumps is of minor importance as long as they are sufficient diameter and have a good collector design at the the tail pipe. it's not a scavenging scenario so the issue of length and pulse tuning is less important.
  21. Fark how could I leave that out, thanks Blitz. They're fronts. Post edited.
