  1. no no no! you must touch the HICAS one with petrol and a lit match at some stage.
  2. Yeah that was me, the FMIC on your car is a real attention grabber. Spotted a black R33 following me up Allara St in Civic about 3.15 pm waved but no response.
  3. sounds like the same clown in a 33 who was talking on a mobile and suddenly swung across a dual carriageway and cut in front of me to get onto a one lane roundabout that's i'd correctly positioned my self for in the inside lane. fabulous.
  4. Hi Scott; You poor bugger (except for getting the car of course). You never should have said you were a newbie. Haven't you seen evidence of the twisted minds that roam this site in cyberspace just waiting for people like you? The most warning you're likely to get is a MUAHAHAHAH before they strike. Just as well most of them are pretty bloody funny and actually nice people. They'll prob tell you one is a graviterix deccelerometer and the other a darkness re-inverberator but since yours has three you've got the optional jetroflux pack, very rare. To save you from them I'll tell you they really are a stereo amp, HICAS computer and ATTESSA computer. Sorry don't have manual here and can't remember which is which but I think the round one is the amp. Unless someone else provides info I'll check tonight. Good luck.
  5. Adam how the hell did you know I worshipped Adolf Hitler and listened to the spice girls?! 'Deutchland Uber' Alles sounds crap on a 12" sub though. Funny story re firing things, apologies to those have heard it: Aircraft manufacturers test plane windscreens by firing dead chickens at them to simulate bird strike. Actually a reasonable approach but funny as hell when you think about it. Anyway Union Switch and Signal make fast trains and wanted to test windscreens. Their chicken broke the windscreen, smashed the headrest off the drivers seat and embedded itself in the bulkhead behind. They wrote to Boeing explaining what they had done. Boeing's response; Thaw the chicken first.
  6. That's why Skyline rear lights are round. Just need to make them slide away - still functional - to hide the barrel. You could have 4 pointing out the back. The lights on an R34 are so big you could launch Rockmelons. Imagine that invading the placcy grille of a 120Y @ about 400 knots. We could park on the Monaro and fire volleys. First one to score a complete broadside gets a chocy frog. Fri night?
  7. Must be karma, man As PranK says maybe your karma 'ran over their dogma'. As for anti a-hole devices I say you can't beat the paint ball gun. Imagine the effect of a few quick rounds on the aforementioned 120 Y with on-board Boganpack option. $100 bucks to anyone who takes out the fluffy dice and snaps off the rear vision mirror with their first shot. We could hunt in packs like a Panzer Skyline Division Blitzkrieg 'Assault South on the Monaro Highway'. I bags the naming rights for the movie, action figures, boardgame and PS2 version.
  8. Try Hankook Ventus K104 - they get a v good recommendation in the handling forum and are recommended by Donnellanns in Melbourne, not sure if NSW dist brings them in suspect not. Sumitomo HTRZ 02 is also supposed to be underrated and excellent value.
  9. are you sure he wasn't just asking if the car was for sale? some people get pretty excited over Skylines.
  10. Yesterday arvo silver R34 4 dr with what looked like Shadow Chrome wheels. Fantastic colour. Two girls in it.
  11. The Ferodo 2500s can be noisy as all hell too, they drove me nuts in a Brembo set up on an R32 GTR, which is consistent with others' experiences. That said, I know people who swear they are super quiet on Commodores including HSVs and Corollas. I only fixed the squeal going from two peice to one peice rotors. You might want to try Lucas pads as they seem to be recommended by DBA as a good organic street pad with low/no noise and I think they probably have better low temp bite than the 2500s.
  12. Guys; When I brake firmly a fairly loud whistle/squeal can be heard briefly coming from the brake booster. Stops when you push the pedal past a point. Car is a '92 32 GTR. Doesn't have to be super hard stop ie ABS territory, and I can make it happen when stationery by pushing the pedal past a point. Sounds a bit like a vacuum leak but I've checked the lines to the booster and they seem fine. Booster seems fine too. Mcyl is new and the noise is not coming from the calipers or tyres. Any ideas? It's not something I've ever heard in another car. And it's not a canary under the dash! Thanks for any feedback.
  13. Hi Andrew; any luck in getting rid of the squeal?
  14. Hi 7heaven; how's the brake squeal? did the machining stop it alltogether?
  15. Black R33 with chromies at the Wheel Factory White R33 with gold wheels on Yass Rd Q'beyan Lime coloured R33 going from Jerra to Qbeyan way on Lanyon Dve.
  16. the search engine is your friend...there is a lot of information...
  17. Today at lunchtime; silver R33 going from Civic to Russell white dewinged R33 on Morsehead dve wine red r32 in Fyshwick near the Battery factory
  18. Research you rights through ebay (if that's where you bought it). If the thing was misrepresented, which it clearly was, you might be surprised at what recourse is open to you with respect to fraudulent transactions.
  19. Silver R32 heading towards Russell from Civic about 07:50. Nice loooking thing it was too.
  20. Dark coloured R32 heading south on Dairy Flat Rd bypass today about 07:50 as I was heading north. Black R33 4dr behind me at lights in Fwick yesterday, waved but driver busy. Wine Red R32 GTSt on Lanyon Dve heading towards Qbeyan about 07:40.
  21. Leech; If you are looking for images try a goodle image search with all the usual suspects ie r33 rims, r33 wheels, r33 volk etc. I did this for my car and it came up with hundreds of pics. Jerry at J Racing in Fyshwick near Cooma diesel has some TE37 (to suit a GTR though) that he wants to sell, might be worth trying him.
  22. Jarvit; if they are solid top mount the noise could be the spherical bearings that run between the shock shaft and the hat. guaranteed to rattle and knock like mad when they're worn.
  23. Were you able to compare it to standard ie rougher or firmer? I'm also thinking of going with the Konis. Regards
  24. What? That's outrageous behaviour and unacceptable. You mean you didn't draft him through the roundabout? Should've tucked in behind and used revs to punch out ahead through the other side...heh heh bring on the boost.
