  1. Thats what I'm thinking too...plus i want ball bearing not bush bearing so the -5s will work just fine i think with my set up. Too much to choose from lol
  2. I have thought about going the 8cm housings as that is an option. And yes its twins only for me mate...i hate big singles on GTRs unless they are purely set up for drags i think singles are pointless Its more fun with twins

Hey guys i need all your advice lol So i currently am running greddy t517zs/10cm housings on my 34 with a fully built 2.6 litre motor... 8:5:1 compression, forged pistons,rods, type b poncams,cam gears,e85...the list goes on. I made 403kw on 22psi as the injectors were maxed out. The thing doesn't hit boost until 4000rpm and full boost at 6000rpm and drops off at 8000rpm. Now i do like the turbos but i hate that they are quite laggy. Im after response and still want to hold good power. Im thinking of getting the -5s and putting KTS billet compressor wheels in them and going from there but I've also heard good things about the HKS KAIs. The car is purely a street car, i do drive in the hills a bit but i don't do track days or drags etc. Like i said i want good response and still want to hold the power. Please help me my fellow GTR guru's

  7. I want to put it to a discussion..what turbo choice is better? I'm currently running the t517z's on my 34 ATM and I'm happy with them although they are a little laggy down low with a lot of top end and i hear it will be a struggle to get 400-450kw out of them so I'm contemplating changing over to the -5s as i have read great things about them and would really like to know all your opinions on this. Thanks
  8. No doubt this question has been asked on here a few times and I apologise for asking again but i could do with everyones opinion on this. I have a 34 GTR with a few mods to it and plan to do more. It has CP forged pistons, ACL race bearings,Manley i-beam forged rods,n1 oil and water pump,tomei head gasket,twin 3inch,greddy t517zr turbos,HKS dump pipes,nismo cooler,nismo oil cooler,nismo 660cc injectors,nismo fuel regulator,greddy radiator,apexi filters,apexi ECU,nismo coppermix twin plate clutch. On 15PSI its making just over 300KW. I want to get around the 400-450kw mark. Its strictly a street car and I want it to be responsive from the get go.The greddy turbos on there dont really spool up til around 4000rpm..it has alot of top end power but down low its abit laggy. I plan on doing more work too it...tomei cams,greddy cam gears,haltech ecu,bigger injectors,e85,greddy manifold and intercooler piping,tomei manifolds,tomei oil pump and baffle kit and bigger turbos,more boost etc Here lies the dilemma of what low mount turbos to go with?? Reason im staying with low mounts is the rules here in SA are bullshit and they will pick on anything they can hence why i dont want to go a single either. Ive heard good things about garrett turbos but just want all your opinions as to which would work the best with the combo above and what i want it to do. Garrett -5,-7 or -9s?? Thanks

  10. Sorry guys.. Motor has forged pistons, rods, big injectors, fuel rail, n1oil pump, nismo oil cooler, nismo intercooler.. Its on pump fuel ATM and plan to get cams, cam gears, e85 and a few other goodies.. I want 450-500kw and was thinking td06-20gs for it as i think running twin t67s will be too laggy as is purely for street use. If i run the td06-20gs.. I'm not sure as to run 8cm or 10cm?? Thanks
  11. Okay so im deciding what turbos to upgrade to and want to know everyones opinion. Im wanting twin high mounts and want to get around 500kw or more..my motor is fully built and just needs a few extra goodies. Im running greddy t517zs atm and its got over 300kw on low boost. Im looking at getting a set of greddy t67-25gs as ive heard really good things but want everyones input so please feel free to voice your opinion guys. Thanks
  12. Thanks.. I know there is a greddy manifold that run td06 and t67s and only run one wastegate.. That would still work fine yeah

  16. Hey guys does anyone know how to reset the mfd screen. I have a vspec and for some reason the exhaust and intercooler temperature do not show up on the display although the nismo appears when the car is on and it also has the 2.0 bar setting on the boost gauge and also the g force meter. Please help
