  1. where abouts in melbourne? can you please PM details as I would like to inspect in person. rob.
  2. This is a perfect example of what a clean car should be like! Good Luck with the sale dude
  3. yeah petit knows he's stuff.. I know when i was driving my R33 i got done a few times for power to weight ratio and when i got defected another time the police officer told me next he'll take my car off me.. wasn't speeding or nething.. Jest be careful man, its the law u cant change it and dont try to find loop holes in it! But with that said, the ONLY time they can take ur car off you is if u are commiting a serious traffic offence, like burnouts with people around.. Smokey on nissansilvia cleared this law up.. have a read its in the VIC section.. Do what i did, sell ur R33 and get an S15 lol! good luck and dont drive through knox!!
  4. hahaha what a funny topic!! look at my nic lol! G-Ready sounds better and is probably how u say it, but i always was Greddy ( as in ready lol ), its easier i think... Who knowS!!?!? Rob
  5. if ur interested i can get u an apexi one suited to ur car.. pm me if ur interested... Rob
  6. make sure u have all of the support mods like said above.. get exhaust- prefferably turbo back, i.e dump pipe, front pipe and cat back.. get a panel or pod filter... a fuel pump is not needed if ur running abt 12 psi.. however, a tune is defenite... Get a piggy back ecu if u can afford it like an SAFC or emanage, or even get ur stock ECU remapped... its all in the tune.. it does not mean the more psi u run, the more power u will achieve.. hope that helps.. Rob
  7. i maybe wrong guys, but there has been SO much on the so called flutter sound... HAving experience, i had a series 2 R33, and had the BOV really tight... It would flutter upto 4,000rpm... I had stock turbo, pod, fmic, zorst and was boosted to 11psi.. i had this setup for abt 1.5 years and drove with that kind of flutter for abt 40,000kms.. at the time my car had 110,XXX on the dash, and i have sold it.. i still kepp in touch with the guy who bought the car, and its still been fluttering and turbo is still in awesome nic.. theoretically, YES, flutter is bad cause its forcing air back through the turbo, however, it hasn't been proven ti damage the turbo nor the life of it... Alot of ppl have said that it WONT reduce the life of it and i agree with them because of my experience with it.. I have an s15 now and have driven abt 15,000kms with flutter with no probs.. Remember, if u import ur car from Japan, who knows what condition the turbo is in.. Just a thought.. Hope it helps! Rob
  8. i got ARC for my s15.. ARC are reknowned for having best cooler on the markets! highest flowing coolers.. even HKS use these coolers in their drag cars.. i paid $1300 for it included piping and everything
  9. howd u go mate? i had that same problem becuase when i installed my bov, i didnt do it tight enough! so it was leaking a bit.. good luck
  10. clutch slipping.. reall common problem.. try a search and see if ur symptons are the same!
  11. u can buy ARC cooler kits for ur car for $1400- piping everything.. and ARC are known to be one of the best, if not THE best coolers on the market.. lemme know if ur interested...
  12. yeah mate.. with that ebc u can set the boost at 4 different levels.. it starts beeping after it goes over the max psi or bar set.. in ur case, if its beeping when it goes above one bar then u've set it too high... i have mine set at 9,11,12,14 psi.. and when i flick it over to 14psi, it lights up red to jus to warn me that that is the max u can run.. u change the max boost levels too.. i wouldnt reccommend boost over 12psi mate...
  13. mate yea DEFI is expensive, however, if u were gonna get oil temp, water temp etc... in the future, then it would be such a bad investment.. But if i was in ur shoes, which i was abt 2 months ago, i would go for the PIVOT range of guages!! They look soo awesome and use a stepping motor also.. it is mechanical but the stepping motor makes it more accurate.. they are roughly around $280 to ur door.. i can organise it if u want one mate! i may get it cheaper too.. PM me if u r interested..
  14. yeah, series one R33 have ball bearing turbos, but the series two have a plastic/ceramic wheel.. Same power output but since the actually wheel is ceramic, it spools up a tad quicker...
  15. yeah i get dump pipe and front pipe, u can get apexi stainless steel front pipe ($400) and a Tomei stain less steel dump pipe ($300), then i get cold air intake with proper heat shields.. and that makes a grand!!! if u wanna up the boost u'd to get FMIC and boost controller...
  16. check all the wiring mate.. have u recently installed stereo, gauges or something of the sort?!? must be annoying
  17. yea thas fine mate, 3inch is usally really good... u dont want ur exhasut sitting too low coz of the cops, but then again ur from brisbane so it wouldnt matter. damn victoria police! lol 3.5 is good!
  18. 3-4 psi is a bit low.. it should around 7.. u may have a leak somewhere mate.. get ur car checked out asap before u start running really lean...
  19. add some teflon gear treatment with ur gear box oil mate.. it comes in a tooth paste like tube and only costs abt 13 bucks! it worked for me =)
  20. hey guys.. I have an S15 with Apexi Pod filter and heat sheilds and am getting a full exhaust system- front and dump pipes included obviosuly.. I was wondering if i need to tune my car or will the ecu adjust automatcially after i get my exhaust put on? I've been ringing around and asking the same questions and have got varied responses.. N1 told me that no tuning is required, just bolt it on and drive off a the ecu will adjust.. another workshop told me as soon as u start asking for more power u need to tune the car.. I dont want to increase boost at all, but will the stock boost restrictor hold the extra 1 or 2 psi after the exhaust is put on?? or will i need a boost controller? i dont want my car spiking or anything. I was considering to get an SAFC.. I dont want a POWER FC, although they are the best on the market, but in the future i wont be upgrading my turbo, or putting in bigger injectors etc so i think powerfc is abit much with the power figure i have in mind (abt 160rwkw).. however few ppl have told me SAFC is not worth it.. is this true?!? what should i do!! One more question, if i rum abt 10psi with my exhaust on, do i need to upgrade my cooler to a front mount?? or will the stock cooler be sufficient enough in the long term?? thanks ALOT guys =) Rob
  21. try replacing ur gear box fluid mate.. i had the same problem on my S15.. all i did was put in REDLINE shockproof gear box oil and added a tube of TEFLON GEAR TREATMENT. 500kms later, no more shudder =)
