my R33 did that heaps.. Didnt know why either.. Anyways, found out it was my o2 sensor and that my coil packs were soaked caused i was trying to wash the engine bay lol :$ Has any water got into the engine recently??

i jus fittend an Apexi Pod on my S15.. get the induction sound as well as a lil Pshhhh lol... However with the HKS or TRUST Pods u will get a massive inductiuon sound as well as flutter- Pstttt chu chu chu... But with the mushroom filters it filters a less than the others...

i havent had any probs with the law abt my boost guage.. only thing i think u need t watch out for is like what everyone said, where it gets mounted.. It vant be inthe head impact zone or be blocking ur line of vision.. i there is a massive document on the VicRoads website stating where it is legal to mount ur guage...

Hey Guys.. When i start my car (S15 ADM Spec) up for the second or third time during the day, i hear a little rattling sound coming out of the engine for about 20 seconds then it goes away.. Does this mean i need a new chain tensioner?? I heard they cost like $300 which is a bit steep seeing that i just bought my car.. its only done 28000kms too... What u guys think it is?? Or am i jus being parinoid lol?!? Im getting it serviced on thursday so any advice would be greatly appreciated! =)

hey guys.. i used to havea an R33 series 2 gtst and had it for 3 months.. got 3 canaries during that time and had to sell it as hard as it was coz of the trouble.. i bought a 2002 spec S S15 abt 3 weeks ago just becuase its legal to have on ur P's and is turbo'd and i thought it was australian delivered that cops wouldnt treat me that bad.. lol as sif.. Driving home from work one night i get pulled over.. My car is as stock as a rock man not one single mod yet lol... Anyways i was asked to lift my bonnet, and they couldnt find nething.. so they walked around my car looking for something to be wrong.. then .... he said my car is too low.. I said to the officer its stock its not lowered how can u say that.. i told him to measure it.. he wouldnt, instead he tried to convince me that the springs had been cut.. went home with a minor defect.. its F*****G not FAIR!!!!! And that Officer P****t Pig in Knox is a total ass... I have written countless letters to Today tonight and a current affair but no response coz they probably too busy filming some weight loss documentary shit... ARGH... The only good thing is that i know there are ppl who feel the exact same as me.. Rob...

hey mate that woosh sound is normal... i get it too... i only got after market pod and when i quickly take my foot off the accel. it goes wooshh lol its normal man dont worry abt it

if u have a stock bov, and an air filter with a large surface area such as an HKS or TRUST one u will get little flutter.. But if u got an after market BOV running stock boost and u got an air filter it will flutter pretty loud... The reason y u dont need to remove ur aftermarket BOV is cause the spring inside it is really tight and only releases when ur on high boost (8-12psi or whatever).. The Stock BOV has a very soft spring... Once u get an airfilter ur car should flutter at low revs, but once u get above 5000 rpm, it will go tshhhhhh the normal sound which is normal.. I had a stock R33 and did that and got alot of flutter.. When i put my front mount on it was even louder, and when i changed the piping to stainless steel igot even louder lol!!! It is pretty mad, but be careful with what air filter u buy cause some dont filter as good as others.. But if u just want the sound, defenitely buy a HKS mushroom or a TRUST Arinx one for abt 100 bucks second hand they always for sale.. And changing the stock air filter to the pod is very simple, shouldnt take more than 40 minutes if u got the right tools.. hope that helped.. Rob

Hey Guys, This may of been covered a million times here but just needed some advice.. Im purchasing an Apexi Filter Kit for an S15 tomz but just needed to some things before i go get it.. I was originally going to buy an HKS mushroom filter but was told by many not to get it coz it has the least protection for ur engine.. I used to have the same filter on my old car (R33 gtst) and loved it coz of that massive sucking sound and the flutter in between gear changes lol... Now im not sure the Apexi will sound as good Anyone had any experiences with the Apexi filter before.. My car is completely stock as i've only had it for a week but just wanted to know if im making a good purchase... Any info. will be greatly appreciated Rob...

can i buy the boost gauge separately???

by any chance did u wash ur car and try to wash ur engine bay??? It happened to me once and found out that water leaked through the engine into the coil packs.. i couldnt go past 3k rpm cause it was running so rough... It may be as simple as that?!!? Same thing with, running fine one day and then the next after i washed my car it was all fkd up.. hope that helped... Rob..

i have a r33 gtst and experience the same problem... got 70% of pad left and had put new rotars not long ago, and always squeaks at low speeds.. ARGH

guys i had the same problem too.. when to two suspension specialists and still couldnt find anything wrong.. so i did a bit of investigating my self and found it to be my wires in the boot coming out of my subs and knocking against the body of my car.. i also found a pen in there as well as some screws lol... probably isnt the problem but worth having a look..?!?!
