  1. um....ewww! HAHA i still think the standard kit is by far better than anything aftermarket. the only ones that look good is the widebody veilside one (the ex UPI car) and the East Bear one on powerplay (even though it looks pretty much teh same except with some added vents)

  4. pop the bonnet and look for a silver box thing with metal lines running in and out of it
  5. welcome to SAU. have a look around by using the search function. You will find that these are one of the best street turbos to use. Many people have opted to go the garretts over the HKS and Trust equivalents. Ask pnblight. He knows a lot about these turbos and can recommend the right setup to go with it.
  6. as duncan said....it tends to pooh itself! it'll do 1/4 ok but unless you break traction all the way, you wont need that kind of split. I only bought the HKS stuff cos none of these bastards made any local ones at the time (refering to duncan and dirtgarage). Now its just wank factor!
  7. The ETC allows you to dial in different front torque splits. It will be CONSTANT until you change it. For instance you can run 20/80 all day long if you want. It goes from 0 to 50 but 50 is not recommended. EDA is an add on that allows you to choose what torque split you want til you hit a desired speed and it goes straight to RWD mode (hence the 'drag' part of the name)

  10. dont be fooled by thinking a modded car is running at its best. do you know if the engine has had a rebuild? gearbox? how many kms it has done with that power?

  15. hunts? what do you mean hunts? maybe your transfer case is stuffed from you putting higher profile tyres on the front and drifting. Does it like sorta engage or make the car shudder or something?

  18. Hey guys, I am looking for someone to spray a car. Its a VK shell that i need done. Not after anything flash. Just two pack. So backyard stuff is fine by me. Car is prepped (sorta) but i want the door jams done too (it still has the original colour. Bay needs to get done but that should be easy cos there is nothing in it. Let me know if you guys can do it or know someone that can. Thanks Glenn

  20. i dont know if the mesh is normally screwed on or anything but mine was siliconed back on. as for the taking the front off...i find it to be a pain in the ass. Start with the grill. then take out the headlights to expose some bolts. There are some bolts in the wheel arch. there are 2 where the number plate should be...under it tho. You gotta get under the car and sorta figure out what you gotta take off to get the front off. End of the day, you will be better off keeping the mesh on!
  21. take your front bar off and remove it OR rip it off! haha I went the first option but then again, i was changing front mounts
