  1. anything for GTR's?
  2. seriously, they are just donuts! and we wonder why we were once the 3rd fattest nation! geez! haha
  3. it would kill your transfer case after a while i think. If you get an aftermarket torque splitter, you can dial in 40/60 if you wanted it that way. I only ever put in 20/80 but that was just to see how it worked. Doesn't Duncan's attessa controller work like that? I didnt read through the whole thing, too many pages! hah
  4. depends on which one. R32, R33, or the 2 different R34 one's. And also if its 2nd hand or brand new. IMO, buy brand new, cos if they die, they will cost almost the same to rebuild as to buy new ones.
  5. how could you not tell that you were going faster than 100? most roads are 60 and thats where you would mainly drive. I think it would be fairly obvious that you would be doing over double the speed limit. Even if the speed limit was 110 (but i'll assume it was 100 where you got on), i hstill think that you dont really have a chance of getting off the fine because of how much faster you were going. Had it been less than 15, maybe.
  6. actually the legal limt is 90db for cars after 1983. before that its 96db. I have had 2 full epa tests done now at Macleod. I have had the car about 18 months but has effectively seen 5 months road time. First test stock exhaust got 90db 2nd time it got 89db (they have to round down). As for things like turbos, if you got low mounts you should be fine cos they wont really be able to see it. Using R34 N1's is good cos it looks like a stock turbo (bar a few different things like writing on the housings). The obvious things you will have to change though. So if you modify it yourself, keep the original parts like i have. Things like injectors, air box, ecu, exhaust.... Comes in handy!
  7. I have one that didnt work on my pfc. you are more than welcome to see if it will suit yours. You can pm me or call me on 0419 583 110 cheers glenn
  8. that looks awesome. nice job
  9. you might want to be more specific on the actual kit itself if you want any real interest in it. new or 2nd hand? genuine nismo or custom made items? etc etc etc
  10. Yahoo! Auctions in Japan will be your best bet to find the HKS ETC and EDA. It doesnt come up often but when it does, it goes quick...and expensive! Thats where i got mine from.
  11. mine comes on anywhere from 7900 to 8100.....but how often do you ever really need to go that high?
  12. checked your sensor? mine has the same problem but my sensor has been changed.
  13. Actually in regards to the fuel system (rails, injectors, regulator, pump), when i got pulled over (booze bus blitz but they made me go up on the grass) I asked about it and he told me its not illegal to modify the fuel setup but it is illegal if it alters emmisions (although extra injectors are illegal). So its not a road worthy issue its an epa issue. So if you do get pulled up and let go, expect that you will most likely get a letter from the epa. Cos it is a GTR, you are still only allowed to upgrade either to pods or upgrade the cooler. If the cooler is aftermarket, you have to prove that it is the same dimensions as the standard one in order to have both intake mods.
  14. how much would the AP front and rear setup for a GTR roughly cost? And how big are the rotors?

  16. where can you actually get those bulbs from? actually...where can you get the holders from? Nissan charge heaps for it ($26 for the larger bulb with holder and $20 for the tiny one with holder so i was told). Right now, my whole climate control doesnt light up.
  17. i am pretty sure i read somewhere that the OS 3L uses the N1 block. They then bore it out and i think it gets sleeved although i cant be sure on that. I asume you are talking about using an RB30 bottom end to create the base hence the sump adaptors and the like. There was a shop mentioned on here ages ago that talked about creating an RB26/30 using an existing normal RB26 block, then boring it, sleeving it, and then decking it to create the extra 0.4L capacity. But i dont think they ever did it in the end.
  18. I have them on my GTR....well i have one now! The other one ripped off as i had to drive somewhere without a front bar (cooler hose blew off and i was already 1hr late). I dont think the cable ties held it well enough. I was thinking of going proper ducting like V8 supercar style instead of using these. Otherwise i gotta find one more!
  19. that car is standard gtr. the rear wiper was removed from that car. i forgot to mention the headlights are different on N1's.
  20. purely by looking at it? no rear windscreen wiper. if you are checking it, no a/c and no abs i believe. its been covered before. Having the N1 vents, N1 bonnet splitter, and N1 boot lip doesnt mean its a real N1.
