The first month the car was out of action due to the OS Giken twin plate clutch packing itself after 40 mins of picking it up (and no i didnt launch it to cause it). I bought a brand new Exedy twin plate and got that fitted in mid October. I have done about 5000kms since i bought the car. I have never had the AVCR solenoid hooked up so i have always been on the stock boost. I have copies of the previous owners receipts and dyno sheet. The car has no A/C fitted to it at all. However, i have purchased the full setup but havent fitted it on yet (goes in while i am on holidays). It will also get retuned. Plates do not come with the car. dunno about the others....but i think most peoples clocks dont work. Mine does sometimes but only for a minute or so then turns off again.

has the hicas got anything to do with the steering being really light all of a sudden? cos it does that every now and then

it was the plastic thing haha also noticed my hicas and 4wd lights were removed! sneaky bastards

hey all, got a question. what could make the speedo and odometer only stop from working. All other dash stuff works. It also shows on my AVCR that my speed is zero. It hasnt played up before now but on Sat it just stopped woprking when i jumped in to start it. Some people have said its the speed sensor thats on the back of the transmission and others say the problem lies in the back of the dash itself. anyone else had this problem? thanks glenn

well i dont know exactly what his problem could be but you would wanna hope it was something minor like the pipe. Its happened to my GTR, and my friends Soarer, Supra, AND Sti. Once it happend with just the leak without the pipe coming off and it wasnt able to rev very high at all.....when the boost hits.

Zahos: i blew the clamp off my cooler piping and it would not accelrate past something similar to GTSpec's rpm. It really does feel like hitting rev limiter. The fact that air was escaping and not going into the motor will make it run like shit.

where is race brakes andrew? my friends are part of the wrx club...i should get them to get me some. haha

more likely than not, its your intercooler piping. check all the clamps to make sure they are secure. also check that there are no hoses that are split.

it says r33 gtr so i'll assume the brembo's

JAPCAB: you can have both pods and front mount if you got a GTR as the fmic is standard and you are allowed one induction mod

silvar33: powerfc retains all the settings Ronin 09: yeah they did check it...they go throught near the steering column. They have the plugs! I dont think they alter anything...they just checked.

mine did that once.....and when i accelerated it got louder....so i turned it off....then later started it up again and it stopped.

i had to remove my avcr as well when i got mine tested. I got the boost solenoid removed completely as well as removing the screen. My powerfc was replaced with a stock ecu. They plugged into the diagnostic port to test something and it wouldnt work...so they assumed aftermarket computer. The opened the panel and saw the standard ecu. hehe

i wouldnt see why not.....as long as it is the same type ie automatic and manual transmission type ecu

there is that screw thing on the drivers side on the engine where you can adjust the idle. look in and you will see a gold flat head screw and a smaller silver phillips head screw. turn the silver screw clockwise to lower the idle. preferably do it when its warmed up.

well all those types of issues are dealt with by Civic Compliance Centre. Its located opposite Spencer St station. Complaints probably should be sent to the Registrar as far as i am aware.

i was once in the wrx club cruise down there and the black ss was amongst them and waited there until someone did something stupid........and someone did - overtaking on double lines. haha
