Check out Hypergear (on this forum). I have an ATR43G3 that has been dyno tested to over 300rwkw, however i think they have made more responsive turbos with greater power potential since i bought mine. Otherwise Garret 3076r seems to be a popular choice as well

Hey any chance this had bigger injectors? Depending on size I may be interested

Which Of These 2 Clutches

Yeah thats why I decided to go with the 6 puck. Its been through its break in period now, grabs hard when launched and doesn't slip at all. Very happy with it -
Which Of These 2 Clutches
Daza33 replied to Daza33's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Hey so I ended up going with the xtreme 6 puck. Just thought I'd post to let anyone who is interested in getting one of these know that they are really easy to drive. I drive the M5 to and from work, in the mornings there is always traffic and it drives almost like a stock clutch, the engagement is harsher but it is by no means a pig to drive, I love it. -
Hi guys, did a quick search but couldn't find what I was after. Just wondering if anyone has used http://justjap.com/store/product.php?productid=20128&cat=522&page=1 or http://justjap.com/store/product.php?productid=17225&cat=522&page=1 in their skyline and if so, how they find it for daily driving. I fried my clutch and am pushing 280rwkw, seen the people propping up NPC but I don't have the time to wait for postage. Just wondering if either of these are remotely streetable clutches after they have bed in.

Your car should stall if you are letting the clutch out in 4th or 5th with no revs. If not then your clutch is shagged

My car had yellow jackets in it when I bought it, after 3 months they shat themselves. Put splitfires in it and no worries since

Just thought I'd post to say that I got my car tuned by Toshi today and my god, the ATR43G3 is an amazing turbo. The response and power is great and I'm only on 16psi. Only did a road tune so I dont have power figures but I'm satisfied. When I get it on the dyno I'll throw up a print out

Not Hitting Boost Like It Should Be..
Daza33 replied to AdrianGTT's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
My charcoal canister is mounted on my cooler outlet pipe down in the front bar, its got nothing connected to it however. My boost line is coming from the intake manifold with a t piece and 2 lines going out from that. I figure 1 was going to the boost controller before I pulled it all apart and the other must have gone to the bov plumbback pipe. Since I'm running a metal intake I dont have that pipe anymore so I'll just plug it until I get a straight joiner and get rid of it. -

Had a look at my old turbo, there was nothing on the compressor cover. I got an ATR43G3 from Hypergear, nothing on that either. -

Interesting, when I got the car it had the stocker boost controller in it. When I swapped it out I just used the line that was going to it, and it was coming from the plenum. I am getting the car tuned tomorrow morning with Toshi but I'll be getting it touched up on the dyno in the new year, how would you suggest I get the boost from before the plenum? Tap a thread and stick a nipple in the cooler piping? -

While we are talking about boost controllers, I have a turbosmart boost tee connected to the plenum. It is normal for them to bleed air at idle from the little port on the side yeah? Or is this why you say connect it to a pressure source? Also since I fitted my ATR43G3 last week I have noticed that manifold vacuum has dropped from ~24inhg to 20inhg. I made up a 4" intake and after I reinstalled noticed I had an extra vacuum line that I totally forgot where it goes. Stuck a bolt in it for now, it comes from the t piece that supplies the wastegate actuator. Anyone got any idea where that is meant to go? -
Yeah I know all this, still running the stock AFM at the moment but have a z32 and s15 injectors waiting to be dropped in. Not thrashing the shit out of it, just gave a couple runs to see how laggy the turbo is compared to stock. And yes, it does hit R&R.

I just installed mine on Friday night. I had to modify the actuator mount to make it fit without tapping the tower in. Got a die grinder and elongated the holes on the actuator bracket and then just slid it up until it cleared the strut tower. Also for the coolant line on the body side of the turbo I took it off the block and attached it to the turbo then bent it into position on the block end, makes the job so much easier. Took approx 5min to get the water lines on, just make sure you undo the pipe clamps holding them to the block like Stao said.
-
Yeah thats what i figured, just found it a bit odd as with the stock turbo I was getting 10psi as well, and from my knowledge that is a 5psi actuator. Either way, as long as my controller gets it up to the 17psi sort of mark I'll be happy. Can't wait to get it to Toshi for a tune, it pulls pretty hard on 10psi with the stock ecu so I can only imagine what it will be like with a tune.
-
Ok well I gave it about 5-6mm preload, still the same 10-11psi. I have a JJR bellmouth dump which I cleaned up with a die grinder and matched to the gasket. Not running any mufflers, I'll adjust base timing tomorrow at work and see how it goes. I'll throw my boost controller on tomorrow and see how much boost I can gain out of it.
-
I adjusted the preload, had the hole half covering the pin then pulled the rod out and put it in place. Do I need to give more preload than that? I cant really tell how far back you have the actuator arm from the video. Exhaust and intake should all be fine, I have a 4" metal intake, good cooler and 3" turbo back with a good cat. My timing shows about 30 degrees with a light however. Has since I bought the car and I haven't changed it because it runs perfectly.
-
Hey Stao I installed my ATR43G3 last night. Had to modify the actuator bracket to make it fit but all ended up working. Just wondering what pressure the actuator is set to open at because currently I am only getting 11psi at full noise, all by about 4300rpm. Granted it hasn't been tuned yet, just wondering if this is normal or not.

Hi guys, Looking to buy 2 480cc S15 injectors if anyone has em laying around from when they got them for their skyline. If not, I am willing to buy all 4. PM me with a price! Cheers

Hey mate saw in the first post that you have bigger injectors as well. Just wondering if you are selling em and what brand and size they are.
