  3. possible for someone to scan it in. ... for those who want to read it but arent in OZ .. please please please
  4. i think id prefer the happiness that a smile watermelon would bring to me each time i opened the fridge compared to the 27.9% extra volume of a square / cube watermelon.
  5. m3gtr, costco is a very excellent place. i bought a 6.3 kilo the sphincter of the universe there last christmas. as not many people were impressed with my heart shaped watermelon . and seen as how this thread has gone some what of track ....(not sure if it had any tracks to begin with) I bring you more watermelon themed pics The first Square Japanese watermelons The Second Japanese watermelon art The Third Strange faced Watermelons this thread now has no purpose:(
  6. damn , did no one see the price or the fact the watermelon was shaped as a heart. its a 200 dollars watermelon. as a side note a japanese man yelled at me in a supermarket today telling me to go back to my country. all because i moved his wet umbrella off the soup rack so i could see which soup I wanted to buy for dinner. im gonna look for him then kick him in the teeth, then call him a racist f...k...in c..t again!
  7. Recently I have noticed goods and services in Japan have increased. for example I went to my local family convenience store the other day for some coke and they wanted 400円 for a 1.5lt bottle of coke zero then Today I was shocked by the price of the nismo package for the r35 Check out this f**king watermelon !
  8. the first link is the cost for the package the second isnt more parts just the package broken up with individual prices seems the cost to modify cars is slightly increasing .. .. he he he

  10. WTF why is my response to this thread now the thread starter? I didnt start this topic just answered the original sub topic.... which there was no question too... strange .
  11. is there a question here? .... i learnt japanese in Melbourne 5 years ago before I came over here to Japan. look up the short courses at all the unis . That will give you a very basic intro. Start studying by yourself Then after you have been studying for a while go down to the big English school on Swanston street and put up a looking for language exchange poster on their bulletin board. Meet the first person who emails you. teach each other. Then come to Japan , Study your arse off for many many years, spend thousands of dollars in tuition fees, do a very long home stay, study more, study more, study more and then by that stage ... maybe 5 years down the track you should be able to tell people your name and where you live. Hopefully be able to order food in a restaurant also. thats what I did. good luck with it all.
  12. but our bananas are a hell of a lot cheaper than in OZ , where ever it us they are flown in from.
  13. wouldnt mind seeing a close up of the girl in pink in the background ps; 35 gtrs are an everyday sighting here now in Japan. edit. oops double post
  14. wouldnt mind seeing a close up of the girl in pink in the background
  15. great advice so far ... but lol at checking you tyre pressure ...
  16. have a hard think about if that is exactly what you want to do with your life. I did the same thing 5 years ago and after the 3 month probation period decided it wasnt the path for me(due to too long hours vs pay etc etc) then went and got an engineering qualification. now Im using neither to earn a living..
  17. how many cars is that gray and blck r34 .. hehe
  18. and ES m3gtr , thants actually how I got hired in my 2nd year. I became friends with the guy who was in charge of hiring the teachers in my area and we cut out interact altogether. Ive also had legal proceedings with an english company and I too would not like to do that again. I know Rezz has been in Japan for a long time .. and if I were in his situation I would not feel happy with an interac Job. I think it is a very good idea to head down to your local shi / kuyakusho and speak with the head of english education and see what happens from there. edit ... damn rezz posted first .
  19. rezz , i worked with interac for a year. I wasnt so impressed with them If you read an interac contract they only employ you for 29 hours... so they get out of having to pay insurance for you. They claimed that only the teaching hours I was scheduled to work at school I had to stay at the school and non teaching hours were my own free time.. however I was never alowed to leave the schools ... therefore not my own free time. Whenever I rang up they never knew who I was, and they could never answer my questions straight away.. They did pay a little more than the other ALT companies ... but a 250k wage these days is shit all. They did pay 80% of my wage in August(the summer holiday) instead of 50% and 0% like other companies However overall I wasnt very impressed with them .... but what can you say about ALT companies these days . . . If you want more info PM me. However if you get a good school / schools and become friends with the Principal you can pretty much do whatever you like.
  20. jesus! im shocked!
  21. shouldnt it be called in the boot ?
  22. m3gtr nice story! the ive been to that festival before. laurence hehe , poor guy. did you get to where you were going on time? I think 2 years ago in Tokyo a youngish lady was talking on her phone and this annoyed an old lady so the old lady got up and pushed her off the platform onto the tracks ... no train though.
  23. nice one rezz ok my next one last summer I was on my way to work, transfered in shibuya to the odakyu line. for those who arent in tokyo you have to go up a rather large escalator to get to the ticket gates. On my way to the escalator I was walking behind a rather attractive young lady in a very short skirt. We were both walking in the same direction obviously she was using the odakyu line as well. Anyways I am walking a little bit behind her and as I am about to get onto the escalator a guy a little older than myself... maybe 30 cut me off to ride the escalotor as well. He totally changed his walking direction as soon as he saw this girl. Shes walking up the escalator.. all of a sudden he stops kneels down and is trying to look up his skirt... all the people on the left hand side of the escalator dont say anything.. so I walk up behind him and spoil his party telling him not to do it...(rather rudely) She has no idea what has just happened and is continuing to walk up the escalator.. the guy moves further up the escalator.... i guess to get away from me and as she was just at the top and about to get off he leans down and does it again... I storm up the escalator, just as he gets off i grab him (in rush hour, people everwhere) yelling "I told you not to do that you bastard" and hit him square in the face. He falls to the ground and I continue on to get my train. Everyone was shocked not knowing what to do and this girl had no idea what had just happened made my day. my first and only violent inccident in Japan
