-
im sure there are places that would hire out a bus / driver. . . but at what cost? id say a lot. you could always hire a mini bus by yourselves , get one with sat nav . . . but thats not much help if you cant read or speak the language. . . or maybe one of the boys on here could help you out? I cant really help out sorry , but I guess you have already done so .... start with a good google search

why not just take the train like 120million other people?
-
I have no idea. I felt guilty once I got off the train for not asking if he needed help. But i figure if he needed help he wouldnt have been standing up and maybe would have asked someone.

Ok firstly this thread is not meant to be a Japan / Japanese bashing / shit talking thread. please dont post NON strange , unexplainable and or wrong things youve seen in Japan. EG. there were a lot of vending machines everywhere Id like to hear and Im sure many other forum users would like to hear (especially from the residents), stories youve heard or that have happened to you which pretty much had you wondering, shocked, disgusted etc etc Japan is known as a beautiful, weird and wonderful country. But does the world really know what it can be like? About 3 years ago I was travelling to a friends house by train (using the Ginza line). It was the middle of winter. Outside was cold inside the train was hot. I was sitting in the closet seat to the door, to my right a middle aged woman, to my left the bar. Id been sitting there for a while(possibly 5/6 stops). I was waiting patiently for the train to arrive at Shinbashi. Looking around the train, reading the advertisments inside the train etc . . It was at this time I noticed the man who had been standing diagonally left from where I was sitting on the opposite side of the train next to the bar in the doorway His face was sweating profusely, he looked a little agitated, however was standing up straight not leaning against the wall or bar. He had been standing there longer than I had been on the train. I found it strange that he was sweating as much as he was because it was the middle of winter. Anyways I thought nothing of it .... It was at this point i noticed the bottom of his right leg and the floor. Blood had been dripping from his leg and been dropping onto the floor. So much so that a small pool was starting to form on the floor around his feet. He was losing a lot of blood for some strange and unexplainable reason yet he continued to stand up straight, totally ignoring what was happening, doing nothing but sweating. Other people on the train had noticed but offered no help, and kept looking/ ignoring this strange man and his bloody leg. I too kept looking and wondering wtf was going on or had just happened to this man I got off a couple of stations later with the man still standing at the door

a junior high school i worked at 3 years ago had a lovely little boy who put some kind of poison in a lot of the teachers box milk trying to kill them ... no one died but a lot of them were rushed off by ambulance in a very sick state. The boy was able to continue his education.

is she currently with you in oz? if so it might be a lot easier than you think. My first japanese exs parents had a lot of respect and thanks for me as i looked after her in OZ. take presents wear something nice, be yourself find out if her dad is a drinker, if so find out what he likes and take it over, sit down with him and drink during dinner, then continue on after dinner. does he / they speak English? is your Japanese any good? If so use it. theres nothing worse than needing to rely on your g/f to translate everything the whole night and have them speaking to her, asking her to tell you what they said, when they should be speaking to you oh and as its the first meeting. I would not bring anything up with her father about marriage. Id give it at least a couple of meetings. Most japanese fathers arent so willing to let their pride and joy dissappear with some strange foreigner after one meeting. I honestly feel that people in these situations feel its going to be a lot harder than it really is. good luck

its is a much more honest country compared to western countries overall . However as always there a re a few people who ruin it / something from someone / everyone. If a crime happens here eg a stabbing / murder etc etc it is usually very horriffic, mind astonishing , down right out of this world disgusting, sick to your back teeth ,,, i think you get the idea.

just watched the torrent. a little dissappointing. although found all the problems they had funny. Both sides also had some help which I thought was a little unfair. eg jeremy didnt have to worry about paying with money on the tollways*he used the cars electronic ic card) , where as the others didnt get help with their transfers Ive never seen those Tokyo roads that quiet in the 5 years ive been living here. I also laughed when jeremy put the headband on his had because it was upside to start with... then in the next scene it had magically changed. I also like seeing some of the very stations/ escalators I use each and everyday.

if you are that stupid to think that life lessons are learnt from movies, and the money you save from petrol / sale of a more expenisive car can only buy an old kingswood and if you are unable to buget properly and unable to buy a more economical car with the money you should have been saving way before making this thread ....... and have sold you car but for some reason are taking taxis and the bus everywhere ..... well there is no hope for you! you are stupid and if the only pleasure you can get from life is "building a bit of boost" past another car you have far less brains than i first complained about you not having!

hey! elrodeo Id be complaining if I was pulled over 2 times ....doesnt seem fair. you should keep a notepad in your car and get the officers name, kanji, police station, time , date, reason for being pulled over etc etc and each time you get pulled over just keep adding to it ... and after a while you might,... just might be left alone. Thats what happened to me and my bicycle anyway ...

is a fast food invented by Hanaya Yohei (華屋与兵衛; 1799 - 1858) at the end of Edo period id say this is proof enough that sushi is a proper Japanese dish

im not a knob jockey! I do agree with you that the forums on gaijinpot are excruciatingly painful. With many many sarcastic idiots. Sorry if you misunderstood my intentions with that comment, not trying to have a dig at you or cause trouble. I was actually trying to bring the Japanese community a little closer using a bit of sarcastic fun. My sarcasm is fine, however I guess its hard for some to get when written on the internet. sorry
