Think of it like this, save all the money you would have spent on extra fuel/insurance etc. and use it to buy a nice GTST/GTT with some good mods when you come off your P's.

As someone said right back on the first page, a 9 or 10 out of 10 would be performance from a race slick. It's hard to give grip ratings when you have only ever driven on cheaper tyres and never had a road semi on.

The only benefit the AWD will have over the RWD is traction, but only when the RWD loses it. It will be heavier than the RWD as well so you can assume with the same engine it will be slower. If you wanted to chuck a 25DET in it you might have some fun.

I'm not positive on the laws in Vic but in Qld even if you get the exemption you can't do any mods that increase power or need a mod plate. I'll say this to you as I said to my cousin who just bought an N/A 34, buy a cheap 4 pot and get some real world experience driving while on your P's. It is cheaper to buy, cheaper to run, cheaper to insure and cheaper to service. You may not want to hear it but sometimes decisions have to be made with your head not heart. I wanted a Skyline so bad on my P's and even though there where no laws at that time prohibiting me from getting one I waited until I was on my opens and had more experience.

Mine was crunching quite badly into 2nd and 3rd no matter how slowly I shifted. I chucked some shockproof in and it make it a lot better, still nicks slightly when I shift fast and crunches when I slam it in but overall made it much nicer to drive.

Did mine a couple of days ago. I bolted my AFM and pod onto the perspex though so it was fixed. I don't know if it is placebo or reality but it feels like the turbo is spooling quicker. Also a tip for others, when I made the template I used a metal coat hanger to form up the bottom edge and then traced it onto cardboard. Much faster than guessing.
