  1. Great driving Benny- and yes Timmy is mad I dreamt about Rossarden last night (yes, I am really that sad). So who is doing what next? I'm thinking about having a crack at NSW Dutton (whatever it's called these days) but itching already to get back in the left hand seat!
  2. great play to Benny and Timmy here (among other places)
  3. btw this is what happens when Kel goes to Targa and leaves her car keys at home - just in time for the boys to get up to no good at Wakie grrrrrrrrr
  4. Sorry I second the congrats to the Beables- I didn't realise Jeff was on the forums An awesome looking car and a brilliant result.
  5. Congrats Timmy!
  6. targa skills http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZVs53VmvQRI
  7. :laughing-smiley-014: untidy and me seem to go hand in hand post-Targa for some reason i racked up another achievement in the early hours of Monday morning- I'm well on my way to my gold trophy for phone losses in the Targa Bar.... yep, I backed up last year's effort by losing another one. Guess I should have had the boys cable tie it to my arm afterall.
  8. … so I'm thinking I could STILL be a little drunk from all of those drinks on Sunday night Brilliant to see everyone from here finish (and many finish exceptionally well). Benny, I still can’t decide if the in-car from your off-road adventure, or seeing you and Timmy up on the podium is my personal highlight Big congrats to Ben and Tim, Andrew and Dan and Greg for the spectacular results. Also big, big congrats to Stu and the team for putting on another awesome Targa- I don’t think anyone can fault the running of the 09 event, it was exceptional. Also special mention to David Ayers and Robbie Bolton in the Nismo 400R who had an interesting final classifications experience – they were declared 3rd and got to drive the car up to the podium, lost the spot on protest while walking from the car to the podium, didn’t get to jump up and spray the champers into the crowd, only to then be restored to equal third later on Sunday night. Commiserations to Ben and Russ for the Targa Gods not being so kind this year- it was really disappointing given how well you were both driving before, and then in spite of, your misadventures. Great to see you both still push on and make it to the finish though. Speaking of misadventures, I thought my Targa was heading in that direction when we did a turbo on Day Minus 1 at Symonds Plains (which was brand new for the event mind you). The guys chucked the one they'd used last year in, and we were off to prologue for a bit of fun - I was planning to sit back and chuck Just Jap Racing caps out to the spectators but we’d run out by the time we got to time control so had to take things a bit more seriously Pretty happy with the result in the end- Steve and I managed 6th in early modern and 35th outright from memory - not bad for an old girl… and the old 32 GTR went alright too So how many days til Targa 2010?
  9. Will definitely see you Silverdome John if not before
  10. True, see you for a shandy tomorrow night Snowy! I am hoping you are right about the weather- Targa is much more fun when it's dry
  11. Only one more sleep for me! Which is lucky because I'm like a kid at Christmas - having trouble getting a decent nights sleep. Lucky the Travelcalm on the boat tomorrow night will help See everyone at the barbie on Saturday.
  12. I'm so jealous- Friday can't come soon enough. Have fun tomorrow boys! Speaking of fun- any updates on the Saturday night catch up?

  14. As I said before Timmy, love your mum's work And while I am no expert, give us a shout if my half drunken, post-engine blown piss-up induced email tonight made no sense at all and you need to chat about buying one!
  15. shush Pete- only you get lap dances for wins after a mixed day 2, i'm just a little too pissed to post proper, so lazy Kel says what happened today is here.... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ns....html&st=40
  16. On the bright side, the impact on points in the overall championship may not actually that bad (however that statement needs to be qualified by the fact that our calculations are already half pissed and by no means offical!). We look to be sitting about 15 points off the championship lead (a race win is 16 points) so it could have been much worse. And hopefully we can get the car together and back on as good for the next round. No pressure Brad Actually MASSIVE thanks to Brad for his offer to strip it all down & fix stuff- we really appreciate it. And as you can see he's already got stuck in - now that's commitment!
  17. Too shagged to type the story again... today's win is here http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ns...70#entry4541670
  18. A quick one, cos I'm shagged worse than the tyres were in qualifying. Duncan proved he's not just a one trick wonder.... started from third, in first by turn one - up the inside this time Held the lead (though there was some fun when the safety car came out and the two blokes behind didn't see the flags). After that was redressed and the race restarted (after 4 laps under yellows) he pulled out another good start and the win Race 2 tomorrow isn't for points so I'm guessing he'll be taking it easy (pffff yeah right!) How things go in race 3- the one hour enduro- is anyone's guess!
  19. off to a good start with D finally cracking into the 1.09s for third place in first qualifying session ... and doing it on shagged tyres from last round! Qual 2 and race 1 still to come today
  20. I personally like to see a bit of in the car in the incar- I definitely think it gives a better sense of what it's really like to drive these stages. Outside the car ends up looking a bit too cruisy to me if you don't get good sound to hear what the cars actually doing? Despite that ending I love The Sideling. Though I reckon each time I've done it, it takes at least 10 minutes after the stage for my arse cheeks to unclench (sorry that was a big crude, but the truth )
  21. OMG Snowman is already famous- spotted in the Neesan eNewsletter today. Guess that means you won't be wanting a *no thanks to Nissan Aus* sticker Which has started me off again .... have I ranted here yet about how pathetic it is that Nissan now has the best Tarmac Rallying car going around in Aus, yet instead of supporting some real racing for a change they've thrown their budget at putting an R35 safety car in front of a bunch of bogans? /Kel ends rant
  22. He called your mum- I hear she's pretty quick around Wakie (not to mention that your wife's arguably done better in a daewoo there than you )
  23. Did you cry and wave hankies as they left? Your ANZAC barbie sounds like a nice and easy plan for a catch up, if no dramas with all of us crashing (with bring our own supplies ofcourse).
  24. Either Sat or Sun sounds good? Any locals volunteering to organise us (nudge for Timmy)
  25. So we keep threatening this each year but it rarely happens SAU meet up at some stage? Or we could just all catch up to talk crap for a bit at the welcome party?
