  1. So does that mean you're coming down to help change a tyre Jase?
  2. here you go Neily...
  3. stop being such a big girl Russ good to see you've finally joined the thread with only 14 (yay!) days to go i'm having a run of good luck today- the last bit of new gear ordered (new suit, new balaclavas, fireproof undies etc etc etc) arrived. feels a bit weird to have everything organised for a change!
  4. Have some volcano chicken & beers for me - I will be @ Targa
  5. That would be a bit of fun I'm sure - just need an extra week in each day atm to actually be able to do that! Now that I think of it we only did about a day of recce for Targa last year & would have managed a top 30 finish if we hadn't had the fuel pump fail as we rolled into TC on a stage I reckon you can get away with it at Targa if you've got good notes? You don't need to be driving flat out off calls to still manage a finish and a good result (in my very humble opinion!)
  6. looks like I'm getting a day of recce in - lucky Steve/The Car can drive their own way just about every Targa stage blindfold
  7. some proof this is a proper driveway built car! the shelter came out when it started pissing down this arvo D is still out in it getting the poor old girl ready for the 1-hour race at Wakie this weekend (and I'm guessing still cursing we won't have the 3 car + hoist shed built until June at least)
  8. Just back from my last few non-motorsport days in a bit down playing on the farm. Only 11 more sleeps until i leave for Targa So who is going to be out at Symmonds Plains on the Sunday?
  9. Sounds like someone's been busy I practiced getting my HANs on and off today - attaching and unattaching the clips to the posts with my helmet on. Yes I know I'm a dag but it was a pain in the arse trying to learn it on the fly at Rally Tas.
  10. Nee-san already has my expression of interest for one to replace the 350. Lucky I'm a *lady* eh
  11. Now while we've been having a little bit of cheeky fun with this thread I should point out that there is always brilliant, skilled racing in the CTC category, regardless of the badge on the car. Should also mention that most of the commodore guys seemed genuinely pleased to see Duncan FINALLY finish a race, and finish it well. (and yes, I am still in trouble for posting that pic)
  12. Interesting to read the V8 take on the race Funny how there was no mention of this GTR being a 20 year old, mostly driveway-built 206KW *nugget* against a couple of workshop backed 300KW+ almost brand spanking new taxis
  13. It wouldn't be Targa if it wasn't freeze your nuts off cold
  14. ok so i am now definitely so in trouble when he sees this
  15. ..something tells me Duncan was getting ready for some dinosaur chopping in the paddock before the race (yes, I know I will get in trouble for this pic, but it's worth it )
  16. Well, I'm home on the couch today feeling sorry for myself (note to self- kids have germs, must avoid them worse than like the plague before leaving for targa!!). Since I'm already miserable, might spend the time doing that other dreaded task- reading through the supp regs
  17. :laughing-smiley-014: I'm still laughing at Keggy giving you the finger in the rear vision mirror after that little tap up the arse :laughing-smiley-014:
  18. Looks like I will head up to help out for a day or 2. Anyone else going?
  19. Now I'm double extra excited! Picked up my new suit from Race & Rally this morning. Then headed over to Just Jap where I ended up talking Targa crap for half an hour. My day will be complete if my rally notes are in the post box ...yep doesn't take much to excite me these days
  20. MPC have earned their good reputation - always a shame to hear about people having to pull out. Oh.... and I'm getting "can't focus on work, dreaming constantly of Targa" excited too!!!
  21. This is how Wrestpoint ran and I liked it - as much as I love stopping at the end of the stage to have a chat to the guys while your time card gets sorted, this saves a bit of extra handling when the adrenalin is still pumping and your trying to sort out time card, pace notes and road book. And you can still put the window down and say hi! Our times seemed spot on, on the whiteboards too A good system and surprisingly easy to get used to.
  22. Who is crewing for you Benny? I'm guessing MPC from your earlier post?
  23. haha knew it wouldn't be long before you were back into it Andrew! Looking forward to seeing you out on the track
  24. 35s are so passe been in one, been in em all (well 2 pink ones at least )
  25. pfffft you're all a bunch of girls try doing EC turn one at that speed right AFTER the brake pedal on your 350Z has just sunk straight to the floor
