  1. Sounds like a plan. Do you want to run as a CAMS supported cruise? I can organise the paperwork.
  2. If you sweet talk Duncan he could put the barbie in the back of the ute and bring it along - I'm pretty sure it's not skyline boot sized. My guess would be $5 max is all you'd need to charge for lunch and should work out cheaper than if you bought your own stuff along?
  3. Sounds like a plan & thanks for volunteering to get it organised The club has a barbie which we can bring along. People usually seem happy to chuck in a couple of dollars for a feed - just need to make sure we get a good idea of who will be coming so we bring enough food. We can actually run this as a CAMs covered club event with insurances etc. This will mean though that you'll need to be a member to attend (like Putty Rd cruise). Might be good to plan for mid-late Jan or Feb?
  4. I like Just Cars- but very honestly don't love their work when it came to a (not at fault) claim. So much hassle and still not happy with their fix a year on. Shannons seems very cool for what my opinion is worth- hard to get insurance with (for a good reason) and worth it once you're on board.
  5. LOL it gets like that on the Anzac Bridge! I have a theory that *most* of the world's crap drivers run over it each day!
  6. Very sad to hear- many long afternoons were spent with beers and good friends looking over the water at the Imperial.
  7. Sorry! I spotted you after the fact and didn't get a chance to wave.
  8. I'd be in for a cruise down the new road in the new year- especially if it ends up near the Imperial Hotel (at Clifton I think) - reasonable pub grub and amazing views out over the ocean.
  9. Usually takes 1-2 weeks. Basically, when your membership is processed you get access to the member threads in the forums. You'll also recieve some info in the (old fashioned) mail
  10. Sorry- I'm actually now only a maybe depending on if I can get into a tyre place today. Will do my best to get out there & I'll call if I can make it. I hope the day goes well and very keen to be involved moving forward. Kel
  11. Only just saw this thread and have had a change of plans for the weekend. Happy to bring the Zed out for some laps if there are still spots- the 32 has retired with a hurt engine until next year.
  12. Hmmm feeling rather seedy today- couldn't possiby have anything to do with that large amount of wine I drunk right? Good food- good company as usual. Thanks to BB for getting us organised
  13. .... forgot to say welcome to our newest members too- we had six people join the club on Sunday
  14. You guys are all on fire - if this form keeps up I reckon this dinner could end up the best yet
  15. For some added fun, you could do a Duncan and leave one out
  16. Actually- my IN is based on me being able to get a lift home (2 blocks from Orchid Thai). I'm scared of the dark.
  17. Haha thanks- but the thanks really goes to everyone who turned up today (and put up with all those questions!). It was good to see some familiar faces and some new ones. And congrats to Jase & Amanda (overall winners), and Victor, Richard and Matt for their category wins Kel
  18. Can you send me a text if you look like making it to lunch? We'll need to orgainise an entry form for you, just in case you fall on the barbie/ trip in the car park etc etc etc Thanks Kel
  19. All good. Have just checked the forecast and it looks like we can expect some good weather tomorrow. Hopefully, we can also expect a good turnout, with around 65 RSVPs. Don't forget to you'll need to have at least ONE current member of the SAU NSW Club in the car to come along (non-members can join on the day). This goes even if you're not planning to do the observation cruise because the entire event, including the barbie, is covered by CAMS permit Any club member who can't find a passenger but still wants to come to lunch should meet at Krispy Kreme. We'll still need you to sign the entry form and will provide details of the final destination once the last cars doing the observation cruise have left. Don't forget to fill your tank before getting to the starting point, the cruise to lunch is over 150klm Don't forget to bring a picnic blanket/ chairs etc to plant yourself on at the end If anyone gets lost in the morning, or has any questions, you can call me on 0412 530 276. Otherwise see everyone tomorrow! Kel
  20. Plus I can walk to Orchid Thai
  21. I am in cos I'm second on the list Love your work Richard
  22. .......shall add that I'm not really a V8 SuperCab fan, but seeing the incar footage of Greg Murphy is a good example of how to drive in a "drag" situation
  23. Flat shifting is for cars you don't own (right Dan) and/or rental cars...............
  24. That little girl? It was me. Last week. When someone told me there was no Santa Claus.
