  4. Why don't we go to Crazy (oops I mean) Big Johns and try to convince some of the Southerners to join us for the night?
  5. From memory, the 2004 NSW Dutton courses were about 80% the same as the ones from 2003. The courses didn't really seem to change, they just added new stuff (like the figure 8 skid pan at EC/ a lap of wakefield with chicanes and a garage stop and a new hill climb course).
  6. The only places I know of South are around Brighton - probably *not* the best spot for us! I'll ask around and see what else I can find.
  7. The talk this morning is that Weber has the goods but the team hasn't quite got the strategy sorted? He was up there with the quicker lap times, but the commentary is that he kept getting caught up in traffic when the car was at it's lightest/ most capable of making gains.
  8. Sucks to be them! How pissed off would you be if you came all that way to stall on the grid. Kimi looks quick - I'm going to shut up and stop trying to predict whose going to win these things.
  9. I'm going to change my mind (I'm allowed to do that, being a chick) and go for win by Shuey.
  10. Damn! Was tempted to make the trip down for it since we'll miss the NSW Dutton, but turns out I can't do 31 July either
  11. I tried to convince the bride I was too old to be a bridesmaid. Even suggested it would be a crappy weekend to hold a wedding, but no luck. On the bright side, it is in Canberra so we'll stop by and check it out.
  12. Woops- sorry, I have a head full of snot atm. Should have said a Toyota win - I reckon Trulli might get up. I'm not a Toymotor fan, just want to see another team win one for a change and make things a bit interesting!
  13. Hard to say until the 2nd qualifying session - he's not too badly placed atm for a points finish? I see another Toyota win looking likely though?
  14. Anyone know any good Southside Italian places? Like I said, just conscious that we always seem to end up North.
  15. Heh heh yeah, we eat that stuff at least once a week. My point was really about mixing it up, maybe going south or west for a change?
  16. Maybe if we went somewhere other than North we might get more takers?
  17. Commiserations also to the Skylines that didn't make it to the finish- it was great to see the Nissans out in force, but a shame not all of them had such a good end.
  18. Duncan has convieniently forgotten to mention that it's me who'll be driving next year after the great (and drunken) Rock, Paper, Scissors Duel at the celebration dinner on Sunday night! I'm still recovering but it's an amazing event, and well worth a look in.
  19. I seem to recall someone driving up the freeway last year with their car wrapped in glad wrap?
  20. Would you be up for taking some pics of our race cars? We'd be keen for some nice shots to use for proposals?
  21. I think you'd find people would be much more willing to give advice if the thread hadn't started out with the implication (now corrected) that running a red was petty or the "do u think i will get off easy?" question. I think people are trying to make the point that driving is a responsibility, and you can't just expect to break road laws (whether you agree with them or not) without some consequence. And - whether or not you agree with it- the ‘cop it sweet’ advice is also valid- as many have pointed out a judge may not be too lenient in these circumstances, so the bosses money may better be spent finding an alternate transport solution for the period of the suspension (barristers are not cheap).
  22. Hmmm- I find it hard to believe you "learn" from your mistakes if you don't take responsibility for them? I know a few guys who lost their licences when they were young and stupid, and have come out better drivers because of it (catching public transport for a year will do that to you). We might not like the laws, but we all said we'd drive to them when we got our licences. And, I'm with Paladin and xRHETTx - there's no excuse for running a red, or talking on a mobile when you're driving for that matter- that's why God invented the handsfree kit.
  23. Meh- just don't use the roof- it works for me
  24. Can you build me one too Geoff? I'm seriously thinking we have to move away from Sydney- we're struggling to find a house with room for a decent two car garage, let alone a set up like this.
  25. Here's our pics from NSW 2004: http://www.hgeconsulting.com.au/Dutton2004.../Dutton2004.htm Not sure there are Sexpo girls though (like I said, they were avoiding me!). There were a few SAU entrants in this event- Me and Majanal (350Z) Duncan and Fatz (R31 GTS-X) Simmo (in the winning Evo) Dominic (Evo 5) Rednut (R32 GTS-T)
