  1. I can't believe that would happen- Pete is such a sensible driver! And you blokes should watch what you say about autos- my saabie has given a few skylines a run when she's been wound up Kel
  2. Hey Joe, come back in so I can tell you it was DUNCAN (i.e. not a woman last time I checked) driving. Kelly was sitting in that crumpled passenger's side. Here's another pic just to rub it in. Kel
  3. This is what THAT feeling looks like. Poor Saabie Should add that no Kellys, Duncans airbags or any other participants were injured in the making of these pictures (well, maybe some pride was injured, but that's another post).
  4. A funny sign we caught on the way home.....
  5. A not so great pic of tail lights
  6. The menu.....
  7. The shame I mean, gosh, hasn't she heard of Shopfast? Kel PS: should i refer you to an earlier thread re: chicks in skylines. I hate to break it to you, but they lifted the ban on girls driving & owning them a little while ago
  8. Ha ha! Sprung Duncan! Kel PS: do you like how the Saabie's taking the checked flag in front of the skyline (shame it was only qualifying but you take these wins when you can!)
  9. Hoons use Net to defy crackdown.... I guess: "Car Owners voice their opinion on a serious issue affecting them via the fastest growing method of communication" just wouldn't have the same ring to it now would it (besides being too long winded!). Kel
  10. It'll be great to see the new Monaro on the track.... all I've seen around in the past couple of months is these strange looking two door commodores....... My money is unfortunately also on the porche, it would be nice to see Nathan get up though.
  11. Oh he of the short memory..... Duncan has the fame of perhaps being the ONLY person ever pulled up for speeding by a water board truck. We were camping down at Kangeroo Valley when he tried to set the land speed record in an old yellow datsun (yes there was a day before the blue skyser). Unfortunately a water board truck had set up a speed trap on the dirt road (or just happened to be passing by, depending on which story you believe) and caught up with him about 5 minutes later. Duncan (boy racer) was lucky to escape with a stern warning and the threat of having his rego number reported to the local constabulary...... Kelly (12 points) Handley was left with a smug "I told you it was a bad idea" look on her face.....
  12. And another
  13. More......
  14. Another
  15. Pic 1
  16. Pics.... a bit late because Duncan is a slack ass! PS: thanks for the tip on the great cheese Pete!
  17. For those not worried about a bit of travel, you can't go past The Alpine Way- Jindabyne to Khancoban (guaranteed to bring on car sickness in even the most resistant of passengers!). A personal all time favourite is also the Great Ocean Road, particularly between Anglesea and Apollo Bay- great if you can avoid the tour buses and hire cars. A word of warning about Tallawarah Dam at Kangeroo Valley- watch out for the water board trucks with radar guns (I'm sure Duncan would be happy to retell that little story!). Kel
  18. Maybe HE lost his licence because he couldn't:p
  19. OK Pete, the hopes of the skyline board now rest with you. Despite having heaps of fun, the best I managed was a mid-field finish. May the force be with you!!!
  20. aww shucks, , thanks Pete!
  21. Gladly Shell. The trick for me was to get into it slowly. I went out in heaps of novice sessions on track days at Wakefield (good because there is nothing to hit if you come off!) and got an instructor into the car a few times. The Peter Findlay course also helped with proper techniques for high speed braking and cornering. I also usually have Duncan in the car with me- but only after he promised not to touch the handbrake :slap: Kel
  22. Christian- That's your story and you're sticking to it right? URMINE- there's nothing uneducated about the love of a convertable (now if only they'd chop the top off a skyline). :inlove: but we digress.... Kel
  23. V funny!!!! Sorry, Duncan read the post and corrected me on my significant other etiquette! Kel PS: did meet you at that cruise- I think I met Bec in passing.
  24. I must say that I love my Saabie, but admit that something else takes over when I jump in Duncan's car (reference the poor blokes in the hotted up falcadore ute at Crosslands this afternoon who didn't know what hit them when we left the lights :devil1: ). Honestly, the thing that surprised me most was the sincerity with which this guy asked the question (god love him)- it was like he could not fathom any other reason for a chick to be driving, which is pretty contrary to the attitudes of most other guys I've met at track days. Kel (have to meet Bec properly sometime Christian!)
