Get the missus to sort it out for you Pete. We're booked in from Thursday night (flying to Melb lunchtime to pick up the car and trailer it up). Spending Sunday night @ Buller so we can enjoy the post event celebrations. Driving back to Sydney when we sober up Monday.

Sale ends today- Thursday
-
Ok so under control now means everyone book this! https://secure.accorhotels.com/gb/hotel-551...ler/index.shtml The Accor Sale only runs for 3-days and I can't find anything better or cheaper per head - and no bond needed Pete I am about to book one room which has a sofa fitting one if that helps anyone out?
-
Jumping the fence aye Ben? I will look for somewhere for 6 tomorrow. Failing that Accor is doing cheap rates on Mecure & Grand Mecure for the next 3 days and looks to have availability.

Still waiting for a response from the 2 accommodation services we contacted- NOT HAPPY!!! Chasing today so we don't end up sleeping in a tent. Shame some of you blokes are heading to Homebush- even if we were in Sydney we wouldn't be there. Can't support Tony's evil plan of investment in street circuits and not race tracks

I can add dog slobber on the inside of rear windows to the family spec list

at the risk of sounding like an old fart, i'm incredibly impressed with how everyone drove the cruise. putty road was made for skylines and super turbos (ok maybe the twisty bits not so much made for teh poor old neesan marches ) but I think everyone managed to have a spirited but safe drive up to lunch. so big thanks to all who participated for setting another good example of how SAU NSW encourages responsible but fun driving. and a VERY big thanks to Sam for making Putty happen once again.

Kel's Super Turbo Super Build
Kel replied to Kel's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
happy to swap a drive in the super turbo for all the super beer you've supplied over the years Richard as said before this is going to be a VERY SLOOOOOOOOOW build, but you can expect to see it on a few NSW tracks with better tyres and brakes in the near future. -
More from the POV & Duncan last weekend: SAU NSW Track Day @ Oran Park I know it's one of the more expensive options but I think it delivers - this is the third kind of set up we've run and have never had bad in-car with it. Best of all it's the easiest to set up and use - even non-techies like me can manage it!

Nice to meet you Noddy - it was great you came all the way down for the event! Pics are slowing going up in this thread.... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Sa...80#entry4861915

Alright so I can hear the laughing from here already But after only a day of driving it (which included a few lazy laps of Oran Park in the wet) I’ve decided my new March is a seriously awesome car. Super charged & turbo charged + 780 kilo weight= ultimate sleeper! Not to mention the 930cc engine x turbo calculation means it will one day make a sneakily competitive under 1600/ 2L Grid IPRA car So here are the current details for my new (old school) 1989 Nissan March K10 Super Turbo: Sequential compound charged (supercharger plus turbocharger) engine in an all-alloy straight-4 930cc 8-valve 4 cylinder Nissan MA MA09ERT 5-speed manual gearbox with viscous limited slip diff – torque steer a fun and free inclusion Revs to 8 grand from factory Standard car produces a whopping 81 kW at 6400 rpm. Not sure what factory boost is but mine’s running 15psi. Seems to be a little rich on boost so a tune to come shortly, along with a spell on the dyno. Factory performance figures are a little more impressive than its killerwasps 7.7 seconds for 0 to 100 and 15.5 seconds to run a quarter mile. Top speed of 180 km/h. Added feature: annoying Jap speed alarm also chimes in inconveniently from the back straight at Oran right through to the braking mark at the end of the main straight Mods to the Kel K10 (thanks to previous owner) include: Front mount intercooler HKS zorst Bigger (though maybe not big enough or better?) brakes from a Pulsar- jury is out on them until tyres are sorted More mods to come (maybe) when we get the engineering papers next week. Rumor has it there are only 20 in Australia – luckily there are plenty of spare parts in the UK only the cost of air freight away. Failing that some other Neesan parts fit ok apparently. If memory serves me right it’s one of only two cars produced to date which has both a turbo and a super charger? In good company with the Lancia Delta Integra (the rare car which Pete famously almost dented/ destroyed in his slightly drunken (!) second story balcony fall from a hotel in Goulburn during Dutton 2003). The progress on this will be slow-ish but first call will be better offset wheels or rolled guards so we can get a better idea of how the car actually drives on the track… much damage done in some corners today Pics to follow when the crap weather in Sydney clears up long enough to take some decent pics. But here is one of the Mighty March Super Turbo from Oran Park today. I'm sure this pics was taken on my sighting lap- too quick for the camera to catch this 930cc beast otherwise The car is also a star already- here's a vid the previous owner made

Awesome track day as usual guys! Big thanks to Neil and Duncan for organising and even bigger thanks to Ando, Nick and Matt for making things run so smoothly today. I liked the way Gary Baxter ran things- very laid back but still good focus on the basics. A1+++ would buy again While some of the stuff in the briefing this morning was prolly a litte yawn inducing for those who have been on the track a bit it hopefully helped the newer guys? Here's a pic of the Mighty March Super Turbo. I'm sure this pics was taken on the sighting lap- too quick for the camera to catch this 930cc beast otherwise
