  1. It's true, cheapest value of D1Rs are attracting the wrong crowd. Yahoo Japan has some bargains, just need to be patient and know good sizes
  2. you could appease birds: http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/459277-fs-20-lenso-project-d1-wheels-with-tyres-suit-skyline/ or you could go for OEM look: http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/459329-oem-370-rims-tyres/ wont suit the style too much. you're welcome to my old gloria wheels: same as that, but less gutter rash and tyres fitted. 215 or 225, 17" i think. would look better with decent spacers, but your guards would be narrower than mine.
  3. my regular presence should be enough of a reminder lol now is a perfect time to run motor in before next mods, im still waiting to get confirmation on work in WA. then its adios.
  4. im mindful of that, but its not an issue. the motor has been ready for many months, waiting for a space in the workshop, i get told to bring the car ASAP and swap with a junked car in their shop... and now how long is it going to sit there? its not like theyre doing it as a favour for me, yet im doing favours for them and offering to do what I can to help. /rant. frustrated. in a few weeks the motor will have been there for 12 months.
  5. PM me for membership card Busted my balls to get the pulsar to engine shop on the weekend because it was needed "urgently", i've been at the shop every day this week to help out and its been shelved until a commodore timing chain is done i know he's busy by himself, but all I need is the hoist, and some help to get the motor in and then I can do everything else unassisted. meanwhile im babysitting a german paperweight in my garage until the pulsar is done.
  6. http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Nissan-Cima-2001/SSE-AD-3573652/?Cr=1 price is pretty steep, but pwoah that mode parfume kit is friggin pimp. gives that big grille look. apparently theres no GF50 presidents in Aus. Iron Chef has paperwork ready to go, first person just has to be prepared to wait 12months for red tape. ill be super jealous of anyone who gets one... theyre still not cheap in japan though. especially a 4-seater with almost 1 meter of rear legroom *sigh*
  7. yeah, very happy. but best to remove motor elsewhere and give it to them. and of course, dont give them a motor and not know what you want. and also name dropping myself, greg or toby will help.
  8. mmmm exploded plenums
  9. i know a few people in the pulsar challenge, put up a pic of your car matt! its interesting that most people opt for N14's due to price and independent rear suspension, but often the top of the field are N15's. bit of tweaking to the beam and they handle well. and yeah, lots of people saying good things about the welded diffs. Mfactory release a helical diff last year which is around $700usd and the other option is discontinued Nismo which can fetch around $1500 secondhand
  10. mmmmm plastic rocker covers
  11. that chicane at lime rock is tricking... should be an interesting race
  12. speaking of lack of brains... "HSV: I just want one"
  13. people still saying good things about the new 4 cylinder mustangs. not sure about the hellcats though
  14. ummm yes please new electric go karts opening in western suburbs http://www.hivoltagekarts.com.au/karts/
  15. Fast torago or similar at the drags is cool. Budget FWD CRV turbo is a bit head scratching. At least those turbo Rav4's launch hard.
  16. so its stuck? not in limp mode? no A/T lights up on the dash? you've replaced the solenoids before and it sorted the issue (temporarily)?
  17. just do some bolt-ons and enjoy your car. dont have to spend 6k, but wont be 100kw quicker either. response, torque and sound are still enjoyable. try do most of it yourself and you'll learn some things along the way (and know your car inside and out).
  18. sports people? Kanye? the pope?
  19. That should be enough to instigate an investigation by isp/owner.
  20. i pay for ADSL2+ and get 3-6mpbs every day. apparently its not low enough to complain to the local network people about. 1.5km away from exchange. not sure if under house is dodgy or exchange port is shite. either way, have to put up with it.
  21. recruiter contacts me about a casual job in Benalla... asks me how much I charge hourly rate, so i try to be reasonable, take into account accommodation etc. give them a figure I thought was reasonable. next day ad is on seek with an hourly rate same as working at a mine in WA (30% higher than i quoted). wtf. money to burn or convinced it was a reasonable figure? and its for casual staff only (TFN) no ABNs allowed.
  22. everyones forgetting 1200 Techniques
  23. I've seen the jet fuel one before, and for some reason recall figuring out the punchline. I'm stumped this time though
