  1. VW 4WD? is that such a thing? Thought they were just AWD. i hope he gets laughed at when going bush.
  2. you in Victoria? firstly: theres a forum for these kinds of cars - http://www.zeitakuvip.com/forum/ secondly: theres a 4-door jap car section on SAU http://www.sau.com.au/forums/forum/83-cefiros-and-4-door-sedanstaxis/ Lastly... it does sound like a service warning. Mine went away after a few drives of stopping the bitch from talking. Playing around with a few of the buttons (figuring out what they did) I found a page where I could reset the trip meters. Scrolled down to each meter and pressed "enter" and it cleared them. problem solved.
  3. I dont like racv. Though saving $500 a year might sway me
  4. Poor juliette got done by RACV for almost $30k hail damage on $38k BRZ.
  5. Damn thats good for daily driver... Inb4 sliideways crash and $38,000 in damage. Not write off
  6. Im not sure of the state of the car itself, but fair level of supporting mods to get it up to 400 i thought. Solid fuel pump setup, big exhaust (and all the GTR conspiracies that come with twins), clutch... Im sure there is other stuff i havent thought of.
  7. You really think youll hit 400awkw? Thats more than just a decent motor to get that far
  8. not 3L i think
  9. im not fully educated on the topic, but I wouldnt be surprised if the government changed the scope of NBN when they found out things were getting way too pricey and out of control.
  10. The article I mean. Essentially blaming the government for changing the scope of the NBN and then blaming them when the project was within budget during Labour reign and now blowing out during liberal reign.
  11. Why does it have anything to with the government? NBN has been a clusterf**k for a few years now. Visionstream were a primary contractor and had sack a lot of staff to reduce overheads from NBN playing hardball. Like many government backed initiatives, the cheapest bidder is selected, the price blows out due to poor estimations and general incompetence. Whoever is in government at the time has little affect on this process.
  12. Not sure on quality, but $40 to fit a battery. Takes 5mins to do. I'm just against stealerships charging whatever they want Yeah the two (one 2wd and one 4wd) both had dual batteries
  13. hilux getting serviced today at dealership... one battery stuffed, one has corrosion on the terminals, they want to replace both. $195 each + $40 fitting. I wanted to tell them dont bother, but too much paperwork to hand to boss for remuneration. he doesnt care, he was once happy to pay $60 for them to replace a windscreen wiper.
  14. yep https://www.facebook.com/1320Videos/videos/10153603687682112/
  15. True.... Torque always feels faster
  16. SR20 bro.90's pulsars... One of the last truly small cars. Not super light, but decent power in an affordable package. Turbo territory I understand. Putting a GTX35 on it and still being slower than Leighs GS with a tune I don't get. There's a street pulsar in NSW running 11.2's and it's not some mega-build just drag focused
  17. i know its a solid effort... but i just dont get it. its like trying to be the world's fastest kia carnival with minor mods. make all the power you want, its still a 2+tonne boat. i can understand being passionate about unusual cars, but not when is basically a lifted, heavier falcon. why not do AWD transplant falcon?
  18. Funny you should mention him... I watched a movie he starred in 2 weeks ago called Radical Jack. It was amazing.
  19. Sure mate... I'm sure their 6 platinum albums would disagree though. Becoz Euro trance/rave/24hr dance people.
  20. Speaking of tacky eurotrash... Was listening to Scooter this morning.
  21. Merc spare parts want $2400 for one shock absorber/spring for C63. Not fitted. Found one second hand for $800.... Bargain. Gloria window electric motor: ~$500 from Nissan. Identical 350Z part, $250 from the US shipped.
