what about the number of asylum seekers vs. visas granted/immigration numbers? most of the countries in the top 10 probably wouldnt have too many people applying to move there... and rather look at where the people are going, maybe its more important to look at where theyve come from. Australia is a long way for asylum seekers to travel. its dangerous, probably expensive and very risky. If you were trying to get out of Egypt or Israel or palestine, getting to Jordan is probably a lot easier. like walking from Fitzroy to Frankston. its not going to be fun, but its doable. in summary: charting of countries against each other is pointless.
