  1. I don't think its unreasonable at all. But I'm also super tight with water/power/gas. Can you show before and after gf bills?
  2. Was a good race. Managed to sort out my woes, it was a sensitivity setting. Far less incidents this session but still a few seconds off pace.
  3. you had me up until that bit. if people want a fast 2-door sports car you have to make some sacrifices. and street friendliness is one of them. lol'd at R35 owners bitching about the average ride quality when stuck in traffic. it aint not soccer mum car with blind spots the size of a water buffalo.
  4. here you go Martin... classy/stylish AND farmer's cred (except no steel cap lel) http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/457144-fs-rm-williams-comfort-craftsman-mens-boots-280-brand-new/
  5. +1 to want to do haunted hills.
  6. apparently its not a receipts thing, its a estimate value thing. like, even if you didnt pay for things, its value is determined (somehow)
  7. RE: that LeMons race get heaps of press lately... Read the regs inc the fine print...... $880 per driver. Min 5 drivers. $4400. Then they charge $75 per pit crew member, and $30 each for anyone else. $1000 car that needs a professional cage, race seat, 6 point harness, fuel cell..... Drivers must have 3 layer suits or single layer and underwear, Hans device and helmet. Add basic maintenance stuff to the car, tyres, brakes, fuel, and whatever else, get there, stay there, and come home. Not so cheap now
  8. not everyone is a) old enough b) has enough money to do those things c) not responsible enough d) mentally stable enough deer tracking is also extremely difficult and time consuming. i dont really feel like killing things (except rabbits or foxes) unless of the communist variety. im actually going shooting this weekend. never used a rifle before, we'll see how we go against some precious antique cans.
  9. this is true. i look at my steam profile and then look at other peoples... i play a fair few hours a week compared to some, but I havent put more than 150 hours into a single game. whilst a friend of mine put 800 hours into one of his Diablo 3 characters, and has several characters. i just cant fathom how people spend so much time on something with so little interaction (when you think about it) and so little rewarded (other than more games).
  10. Got into counter strike this week. I enjoy the friendlier-smack talk, but fark me it's a sad world. Thousands of hours of play time, sitting on the same map, using the same weapons.... Worse than wow almost. Except it's stimulating (for a few hours)
  11. isnt it $900? and that doesnt include: full cage, brake setup, seats, fire extinguisher, other safety things.
  12. yeah... talking about maths to maths people over-complicates things. they work with many unknowns and use them to re-write equations/simplify. in the real world, you just plug in those unknowns with values and solve for what you want to know. calculus and derivatives are used for power measurement (energy over time). Pythagoras theorem is used for calculating the 3 different types of AC power (real, apparent and reactive) Imaginary numbers and vectors are used in measuring and calculating complex AC power log is used to simplify time curves. Theres equations and calculators for just about all of it, you just plug the numbers in most of the time. in my role you just need to understand what the equations are doing, engineers under how the equations were made (and other stuff) and mathematicians and physics people theorize and prove the equations.
  13. engineering. electrical uses it pretty often. some of the maths we covered in TAFE surpassed what some of the VCE guys were doing in Specialist Maths. but TAFE cuts all the bullshit out and just gives you the formulas someone else has already figured out. and knowing its useful and you see it at work makes sooooooo much difference when learning. and non-calculator exams... i dun geddit I bombed maths methods in yr 11 & 12, but did a CAT (William Adams) aptitude test with ~90 people and scored top 2. it was all rough estimation against the clock.
  14. cam gears but stock cams?
  15. Yeah the bypass is bullshit, I know cops hide in some spots there.Ive done it twice now lol. Once was when a 3 person small house drew a $300 2-month water bill coz this scumbag boyfriend who lived in the next street way staying over just about every night. I lost my Shit so he apologised and have us $10 cash each. f**king moron. The other time I discussed with my housemate a rule for partners staying. And limited it to 2 nights a week.
  16. Wtf. What suburb?
  17. asking if person is from north or south vietnam... sure, bit insensitive because it has thought behind it (in an offensive way) north and south korea do exist, so semi-legit questrion... however people from south korea do refer to themselves as Korean. ive never met a north korean so cant comment on them.
  18. just tell everyone the turbo comes with VTEC. that high-rpm boost kick.
  19. if anything, getting off facebook will make me a more clear minded, tolerant and worldly member of society. even the homeless in the city have smart phones with data usage.
  20. ^ exactly. also im low on durries. someone hook me up. fb invalidated my ID.
  21. got a reply... turns out they consider it fake because it doesnt match the fake name on my current (locked) account. FFS. people get reported for using fake names and so the default response is to prove the fake name?
  22. perhaps the word boost should be replaced with air volume in this topic? since there are so many things changing in this setup (turbo, intake manifold, intake piping, power output) throwing around estimations and requirements for boost levels is pretty irrelevant. no one is doubting 2.25 inch piping wont flow big numbers, i think the question should be 'is 4" piping worth it?' smaller piping flows less (or requires more boost) and dissipates less heat. probably not worth the effort to fit 4" though especially if it limits your plenum choices.
  23. But what, they're going to refuse me forever because I was a dick once? I meet the criteria and have an existing account. This ain't no special members club. It's a regular hangout for the dregs of society
