its EA. so will probably try and make it MMO-ish. online-only. cruise with friends. wanted levels. pimp yo ride. drags and drift comps. mmmmmmm i can smell the grinding already.News Flash: EA apparently owns and operates Speedhunters. explains a lot. also means that this will be the closest thing to "Hardparking: The Game" to ever be released. i can see it now... they'll be like a Race Wars equivalent. like in those DiRT games, with fireworks and music and babes. There will be Speedhunters banners and #IAMTHEWANKER tags everywhere. Everyones tyres will have white Speedhunters tags on them. All the seat options will be from Bride, all hardnesses from Tanaka. All suspension from KW. All the wheels will be Rays. and you'll be scored on how your cars looks (like in Underground 2) and be invited to iconic photoshoots with Speedhunters and you must have a certain cred-level to be eligible. oh man, this is getting worse the more i think about it.

when it comes to GTR's and reliability, we all know the more you pay for the car, the better condition and looked after it is. typically dealers and importers sell the best condition GTR's. if you want Twin GTR's... well, theres a saying to have 1 GTR you need enough money for 2, so if you want Twins you'll need enough money for 4.

very funny simone. please note: the pulsars speedo stops at 240 and i got a bit over 230 at PI. now with more powah, should be able to get there. (whether that is legit 240 or not is questionable, but case in point is going off the speedo. according to old-man withers)

its on consoles too. i bought a physical copy for a few dollars extra. got free DLC as well and only took 10mins to install (plus 30mins patch download time) vs. 15GB download.

i would be interested if a) it wasnt open world like most arcade racers since Underground 2 b) it wasnt online-only c) it has damage and decent physics

use iRacing with SAU and thats about it. Project Cars would be good to into online, but im having fun with the career (even if the AI is disruptful. you just have to get in front of them!) Assetto Corsa is on-sale now, but i wont be jumping on it. car list is pretty average, though UI and track/car quality is good. Wreckfest is Destruction Derby reborn. havent had a server with decent ping yet, but its awesome fun. and has single player.

yeah it is good. a lot more forgiving than iracing. but better value. takes me back to my Gran Turismo 3 days of career mode. all this talk of investment properties, its helped me realise my dream. to open a giant nightclub in melbourne. called Avastar.

yes and no. certainly not messy which is good. you can be smart about it but what freaked me out was that if someone is applying for welfare and meets all criteria except is living with a spouse/bf/gf/whatever, that person is then financially responsible for the other (if you earn enough, and by centrelinks standards it wouldnt be much). living together for 6 months that is. Also, i had planned to go down the path of getting a legal documented created to state X was a tenant and paying rent, on the bond etc. not de facto by default. I never ended up following through with it though.

haha. i turned a room into office. complete with keyboard piano. part time racing sim room. sharing with missurs is a pretty good deal. set a price thats reasonable, can even put down a bond if you want, 50/50 on bills, share some of the cost of appliances etc. But you gotta make sure you can get along. it just get tough when its your place and you want them to leave........... and then when you have to get rid of their shit cause it doesnt fit in their car.

yep, $175 for a full furnished place isnt too shabby. was paying $200 for a room in balaclava + bills 3-4 years ago. (mind you, I was paying a bit over half becoz uni lyf means passing the buck to someone with a job)

some/most contracts specify 6 months notice prior to price hike. $350 central clayton unit sounds pretty standard. im over sharing a place with people. been doing it for ages. will most likely be solo bachelor-padding it up soon which also means full bills, so cuts to spending will be required. #budgetemergency
