ok, makes me feel a little better. will file down the edge of the block a bit where its pointiest

getting closer. rummaged through the spares today and just collecting the last few bits and pieces. Just need 2x metal exhaust gaskets (probably from gktech) and another box of BKR8's gapped to 0.8mm. putting the turbo back on revealed some damage to the actuator spring housing. its up against the block and crushes it when tightening the exhaust bolts. I spoke to Eastern Turbochargers in Bayswater and thats the smallest housing around. HKS one is the same too. Will trim some material off the block but may need to play around with the mounting bracket a bit.

yes, and optimal operating temperature has recommended minimum and maximum temperatures. might as well remove the entire cooling system due to "the hotter the better" theory and see how that works out for you.

Am paranoid in the pulsar even though it does blend in (not so much now with carbon bonnet. The Gloria is still a pit to pour money in, but covers all the bases it doesn't. I still worry about cops, but all I have to do now is wind down the front windows

the championship is fixed setup, but practice by yourself you can tune them. but its pretty counter-productive if you have to go back to fixed setup when racing. Most of the "novelty" cars you cant much beyond tyre pressure and camber. The Jetta is an example. FWD FTW. would have come first last night by like 30secs if i had that beast
