i feel the same. but the car has always not been the friendliest to drive. and even after the money ive spent on it making it an even better car, the shit from bad workshops/previous owner are still biting me in the arse.

aus post postman didnt attempt to deliver my parcel yesterday, just left notice for collection in the mailbox even though I was home. i was pretty annoyed so made a complaint, and then saw a public place for people to vent about them online. farkin hell. i know a lot of people can get abusive and frustrated, but old people and people who are no longer allowed to beat their kids/husbands/wives and therefore take it out on retail staff feel f**king privileged. ^ lol yeah right. told to get out of the shop for being calm and civilised. what is wrong with people? if they privatised aus post or even changed the name, these people would still be grabbing their pitchforks calling out for blood. this is postage we're talking about, not organ transportation or hospital bed waiting lists. most likely the same people who abuse supermarket deli staff for not slicing the pastrami fine enough /rant (note: most of the people complaining had listed female names)

well last year the job was shelved waiting on parts. engine place has been flat out and job is going to be shelved again waiting on parts *sigh* got a new gasket kit, head gasket from Pten (same cosworth 1.1mm as last time) and set of SCAT rods. ideally i wanted to replace just one, but that was half the price of a set of 4 and there was no guarantee they would balance out or be within acceptable weight regions. they took a while to come in. Crank has been balanced and is good. Once all the bottom end parts were gathered, started assembling the bottom end and took apart the head... Cams were worse than we thought once taken out. Cylinders 2 & 3 on both must have been wearing away for the whole running period because there are noticeable lips on the edge of the lobes. plus you can see in the centre of the lobe where its been worn down. so frustrating. poor oil pressure in the head for most of the running period is the only reasonable cause. I visited Clive cams in Ferntree Gully who said he could do a re-grind, but different size intake/exhaust meant he would have to make 2 masters and then the head would need to be re-shimmed to make up for the changes in the lobes. A more expensive option than buying new cams and would still take 4 weeks. oh well. ordered identical cams from JUN, so now we wait the 7 weeks for them to arrive.

there was the old trendy suburbs cafe business model... 1) start up trendy, no-frills cafe that makes good coffee and small breakfast menu. 2) establish reputation and regular customers, employ good staff etc. 3) sell to chinese 4) chinese use lackluster staff, shit coffee etc. 5) business slumps 6) buy back off chinese for fraction of price sold to them earlier.

you will need to apply for a CAMS LS2 license to participate in any of the motorsport rounds. all the information is on the cams website. Our next monthly meet will be covering whats involved to get on the track, so may be worth checking out. you dont have to come to any meets prior to a track day, but certainly helps with recognising some faces
