  1. so ISP is internode. happily had 10Mbps download speeds when in clayton. hit 1.1meg a second with steam have moved to rowville, my plan was not available so had to switch to a different one. have had nothing faster than 430kbps download. router says 4.3Mbps constant. doesnt change with peak load. before contacting ISP support i plugged router to port in a different room (only 2 in the house) and speed jumped to 7.1Mbps and downloading 720kbps with steam. house has an old foxtel connection from the street which isnt in use and no home phone. is there anything i can do to get faster? why would the other port be so much slower?

  4. Lol and a magical $5k for compliance plus import fee.... Amazingly every other car compliance is cheaper. I met the dude earlier today and I don't think he makes too much money

  7. Damn qld ockers... Needs daylight savings bad.
  8. Local made imported flavours just dont cut it. I feel like im drinking a label since it never tastes close to the original we all got used to back in the day. Im my day mainstream beers tasted different. Now its whatever is cheapest or you would want to be seen holding. Heineken, stella artois, asahi, carlsberg, kronenberg... Now introducing duff, duff lite and duff dry.
  9. heading home today, will be hitting a VB when we get to Roma airport. after being a 38 degree dry camp for 3 weeks, will certainly look like something from one of those 80's beer ads...
  10. the quotes at the end sound like they were straight from an article on The Onion
  11. Bringing in your boyfriends coilovers from the front doorstep becoz he's FIFO. #justgirlythings She doesnt lift, and the box probably weighs as much as she does. Didnt think to open the box...
  12. Fitted a bee*r rev limiter. Not to be hectic and spit flames, but because didnt want PFC fuel cut ruining the motor... Read lots of hate on the net but thought if im just using it for ignition cut, how bad could it be? Other than not working properly (doesnt like pulsar distributor+EFI setup), its made a mess of loom before the ECU. Then my motor died from oil issues anyway. Good times.
  13. The sandown carpark cool down lap always ruins my tyres. Next time im just going to drive out the security gate lol
  14. Solid wednesday is solid
  15. ^exactly...? Over-engineering is certainly cost cutting from a tuning perspective, but look at subaru... Many parts are like glass but theres demand and therefore solid replacements. Just most of the base motors are still over 20years old lol. But theres no V8's, and few 6-cylinders even. Rotories are really only still in the picture because their fans are purists
  16. I just find it surprising the most common (and successful) motors at world time attack are 20 years old lol As much as i wish people could manipulate and change modern engines the same way people do 90's engines... Its just not heading that way. Even if there was a large customer base, theyre getting harder to crack. The only real modern engine i can think of that still gets massive modification treatment is the LS series, but the base motor has been around for ages
  17. Were mustangs even fast at the time? Thought it was all about the sound and the look
